It's no suprise at all. Will it change the habits of the rest of the jerks out there - not likely.

Tailgating it's the source of lot of serious accidents, Every body need to leave the other person enough room and space to brake...I hate it when some one follows me too close...!

I'm sure after the accident was cleared people continued speeding, cutting others off, tailgating, etc. No one ever learns, that's why we keep reading about it day after day.

For me, I95 has become like the Wild West. I had big rigs passing me in the slow lane (far right) while I was in the middle lane just yesterday, and this is nothing. I wish the highway was better monitored by the state troopers. It only seems to be safe when traffic slows everyone down.

Trucks and buses should be banned from I-95. Put them on the railroad or on barges in the Sound. They cause most of the accidents and need for constant repair of the pavement. At least check the licenses of these drivers. Many of them are not qualified to drive trucks and buses.

There needs to be a separate lane for the tractor trailers. More restrictions should be imposed on the truck drivers by the state department. The speed limit must be 45/50 miles per hour for them and they must obey the law whatsoever!

I am so happy to see someone having similarity with me. You're right about that 1000%. I wish I could come out the car and beat the crap out of that person. lol:)

kma said it best. I do that 95S drive every morning and the truck drivers are the worst. I've seen them on their cell phone, texting, eating and - what I hate the most - agressively pressuring drivers in front of them to go faster by tailgating. I also see them falling asleep and drifting out of their lanes. I see this EVERYDAY. Thank God no innocent car drivers were hurt in this one, but they all had to deal with the frustration of a terrible morning rush hour delay... Nothing will happen though. Nothing will change. There are more deaths coming, you can count on it.

Today on my way to work there was a flatbed swerving between lanes including the fast lane where they should not be driving. The traffic braked abruptly and he looked like he was going to jack knife. Of course he did not, thankfully. Absolutely ridiculous.

Did I read this right. A ticket was issued to a truck driver. I always believed they were above the law with the way they drive. Don't picky on FUNG WAH buses. We are learning to drive BIG RIGS. FUNG WAH driving school.
