The grant they received was for the windows and had to be used. I think they look great. I also think people should stop and think of the operations within the structure rather than the structure itself. The students will not be any better off with new walls around them if they don't learn reading, writing, and arithmetic. And that should begin way before they reach the 90year old historical structure that has withstood many a stormy weather.
Wouldn't it be much better for interest to be paid more closely to the fact that our district is ranked at nearly the bottom academically, not only in Illinois, but in the US. TO me, that is much more frightening than my child attending school in a 90year old building I would much rather them be in during bad weather than one of the other manufactured/fabricated schools we have
