That mall killed downtown Pomona. Call it petty but I don't shop there because of that.

I've lived in this area for about 5 years now, Pomona bordering Montclair (relocated from Glendale) and this mall is pretty boring. Its fine if you just need socks at JCPenneys or something, but it just feels dead once inside. It's not the hang out at the mall type of place. More like just pass by and get something and get out. It seems to be frequented alot by the less affluent people who are there because they have no A/C at home/apartment. But they are pretty quiet and peaceful, so its not a big problem.

Well, I've grown up going to this mall. I watched as the second story was built. I've seen it go through many changes over the years, but you are all right, it's not a hotbed of excitement. I've never gone there to just hang out, I've always had a specific purpose. Then again I'm no mall rat either. I'm the type that doesn't like to deal with the crowds. I just wanna get my crap and get out.

But try Christmas shopping @ Victoria Gardens when it's raining, or very windy, or So friggin hot like now. Those walls that make you feel trapped are a welcome relief.

The less affluent people?? Anyway! It doesn't seem to be a popular "hangout"? Hangout for whom? Teenagers? The annoying teens who were dumped there by their parents to join their oh so noisy friends and annoy those of us trying to enjoy a couple of hours of shopping, but we can't because of the teens traveling in small packs, who find it totally okay to bump into people passing them and to scream for their friends from across the mall. It's not a good hangout mall? GOOD!!! That's a plus!
