As if there aren't already enough compelling reasons to immediately retire BWR Mark 1 reactors like the ones at Fukushima and at Vermont Yankee, Arnie Gundersen of Fairewinds Associates has just identified a doozy of a containment flaw that had previously escaped detection!

I think the rubber and silicone piping seals melted and gave out way before the containment head lifted...

I have been meaning to comment on this for quite a long time.

When an idiot uses the word idiot as many times as the idiot poster Mr. I Know more Than you , your comments are dismissed as ramblings of an idiot . How's that ?

If you surmise I don't care for the word idiot you would be correct . It is the dumbing down of conversation in polite society , unless of course you are an idiot.

I would be remiss if I didn't say I am expecting to be called an idiot for my comments .

If you collected a small sampling and showed it to a random group of people, I would think that one could surmise that you really are an idiot...

I do believe that in a random selection of people that you know badgering other people with words such as idiot, dumb dope, etc is accepted bullying protocol .

In polite , civilized, intelligent, discourse, the inane name calling that appears to be accepted by your group is looked upon with disdain.

It is perplexing to many why anyone would believe that one's opinion in a debate would be valued when one side thinks that verbal abuse is acceptable,it is not acceptable, in any circumstance.

It suppose it is a reflective instinct of the mentality , of bullying because they know they are wrong .A reflex, used to distract, amaze, disgust , and chase away any opposition .

I don't think that this game plan works. As for myself, I assure you I am not intimidated by the insults. I have a track record, with many people from other walks of life that belies your gutter tactics , and ridiculous insults.

Now, go have a sumet with your group and explain once again how those Towers partially keeled over. Urban renewal, Vt's version or ! Leaning Tower of Pisa New England style !
