I will venture to say that given all of humanity's problems and potential world catastrophes, it would be more likely, not less, that the world will end if we DON'T answer scientists' physics questions.

My advice for you is to build a big enough hole in the ground to hold your Bible and a lamp to read by, stick your head into the hole and cover it up. That way you will never have to look away from your book and have your soul polluted by what you see. It's all an illusion perpetrated by liars. Except that book of yours.

I take it you don't get out much. If you weren't so blind sided by that piece of creative fiction then you might realise that the world is much different that what the "holy" book says. But if you want to believe that the giant imaginary man in the sky is going to save you and take to you heaven, be my guess.

The super collider hasn't even done any "colliding" yet so it's a little premature to say the threat has been proved wrong. Besides, I don't recall his name, but one of the scientists who warns against it says that you would not see any evidence of its "damages" until 3 or 4 years later.

What is his evidence for such a prediction??
