This is SAD! Why would someone let this many pounds of meat go to waste when there are lots of hungry homeless and underpaid people out there. I don't know where Ilan's brain was. Why in the first place would he abandoned the place, and leave the the meat behind, knowing that the power would eventually be shut off. And if he could not pay the power bill, how come he did not come back and haul it out to another working cooler? This is not news to me, as I am a guy that likes to look inside old abandoned houses, factories, and buildings. I have once came across a closed pizza restaurant that had all the beef and meat still left in the freezers, and was rotten out, the ammonia smell and what not was so strong that over the yrs had rotted the aluminum walls and shelves out in the freezers. To my knowledge the restaurant along with the meat had been left there rotting for about 6 yrs or so, due to the dates that were on the packages. This is asinine. Yes it can take your appetite away, and make you not want to eat any meat. I guess that people just do not use their brains these days, anyone knows the meat will rot and stink. Shawn In Missouri.
