I agree that peer pressure is a part of young people's lives, but like I said, that first sentence blows me away. My parents always took interest in our schooling, helping us with homework if they needed, attending parent-teacher meetings, etc., from first grade through high school graduation. What's sad is too few parents take time with their kids' schooling, or, as a matter of fact with their kids at all. They have the mindset that school is to rear their children for them in every aspect, not just academic.
