I agree that peer pressure is a part of young people's lives, but like I said, that first sentence blows me away. My parents always took interest in our schooling, helping us with homework if they needed, attending parent-teacher meetings, etc., from first grade through high school graduation. What's sad is too few parents take time with their kids' schooling, or, as a matter of fact with their kids at all. They have the mindset that school is to rear their children for them in every aspect, not just academic.Dudette
Talk to some high school teachers and they will confirm what I said. We are loosing many of our male black students because they surrender to peer pressure which is the most powerful force, except sex drive, among teenagers.
