A new mayor needs to be open to listening to the public. Not be on a power trip as the current mayor. And to be willing to make and push for the hard decisions, while thinking not just of now, but of at least 5 years into the future.

I wish Vicki Boedker was running again. She has the talent and good long range planning to guide our city's needs far into the future. But she will not run this year. I am waiting to see if she gives her support to any newbies running for Wentzville's mayor.

We need to elect the anti-Lambi. That guy has messed up Wentzville in his time in office.

I wonder how many kick-backs he got from the big business interests and the developers to allow the poor construction and ugly buildings that are in the city now.

yes, wentzville native, exactly.
3 years ago several persons from different neighborhoods had trouble with a builder. we took every avenue to work with them. when we turned to the city - the builder was in violation of existing codes. the council was working with us. the mayor told me that if they made it tougher on the builders then people like me couldn't afford a home in wentzville.(single, woman, over 50, over $60,000 income, worked in wnvl for 15 years)
nothing was done. the builder continued. we were all left with no warranties, incomplete yards, drainage problems etc) the builder is gone, the community is half built, we will never have control over our association. the buyers are still here and we all vote. all we needed was enforcement of existing codes.
mayor lambi was the definition of condescending.

From my understanding she is backing Bill Schuette

People need to take a good look at Schuette. Residents in his own ward called him about street creep and he refused to return their calls. Also, he has been known to shy away (or run away) from controversial issues (see "You paid for it").

So lets keep mayor Lambi who lets peoples houses float away every time it rains. Where were all of the other board members during the you paid for it. Oh yeah they were all hiding too. You paid for it makes everyone look like an idiot. I wouldn't want to talk to them either.

Smiling now sounds just like Schuette, or someone in his camp. The street creep issue was in Schuette's Ward (2), and he didn't bother to attend the meeting with the residents and other city officials (even though Luby and Guccione who are the aldermen in Ward 3 attended it).

hey concerned citizen. Sounds like Schuette or someone in his camp? I heard you are Donna Guccioni. I think your husband is running for mayor.

It sounds like many citizens of Wentzville are having similar issues and concerns, i.e. non-responsive and self-serving elected officials. Recently, Ward 3 residents asked the mayor and Board of Alderman to enforce a certain ordinance that would help the homeowners, and the board repealed it instead. Then they replaced it with an ordinance more favorable to the developer, effectively back-stabbing the constituents that elected them. It's time we voted them out of office.

This is in response to Mr. Babb. I don't believe you have your facts straight. The ordinance was modified by the City to require the election of resident trustees at 70% development rather than 95%, to the benefit of the residents in order to get more trustee representation sooner than later.
The City issued a citation in March 2008 for non-conformance filing of trust indentures where the subdivision developer exempted itself. The court dismissed the city's enforcement action. The Missouri Constitution prohibits retroactive legislation; i.e., that the law cannot affect past transaction such as indentures.
I believe you have a political personal agenda and even though you have filed a law suit against the Trustees of Peine Lake Estates (residents) and the developer, you fail to realize that you are bringing personal hardship to your own neighbors. If you are unsuccessful in this endeavor (as I believe will happen), will you then accuse our judicial system of being in cahoots with the developer?

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Aquarius

The more you want to control someone, or someone wants to control you, the more difficult life will be today. It's a Full Moon and a lunar eclipse, so the last thing you should do now is to act as though you own this person, or tell them what to do, because it will be an instant recipe for rebellion and trouble. Mars is retro in your house of significant others and open enemies after all. If you don't want to spoil the evening's celebrations you'll have to make compromises, and hope that this other person will do the same. Don't let the fuss stop you having a very happy New Year's Eve.
