Ocean City cannot resist any means of making a cheap buck. Drunks loose on the streets all summer ? Why not! A possibly quiet(relatively speaking)September weekend? NO! let's encourage a horde of bikers making incredible noise to invade. Out of the other side of the mouth comes "Let's build million dollar condos to go upscale!" NOT LIKELY !!! You can't have it both ways.

Sure you can. I happen to own a condo and I also own several motorcycles. You can have both...

Living just outside Ocean City AND my husband and I being "bikers", it is my opinion that OC is NOT biker friendly, as it prides itself on being a "family oriented resort town". Does anyone remember years ago there was a radio commercial referring to bikers that went something like this: "If your wallet is on a chain and your dog is not, then your not welcome." Though it did not take long for the commercial to be taken off the air, it was still many years before bikers were welcomed into Ocean City for their Bike Week, which by the way is NOT held IN Ocean City, it's at Ocean Downs Race Track AND it is not held during tourist season. Ocean City only boards and feeds them. They still don't like the bikers, they only want to reap the profits made from the bikers. They make just as much during bike week as they do Labor Day Weekend.

Sturgis, SD. Looks forward to bike week. They make enough during their bike week to live off of for the entire year! The difference is, they LOVE the bikers, respect them and what they stand for and KNOW that the majority of them are NOT trouble makers, but very nice people with good jobs, etc.

My helmet is off to you Tony who has the best of both worlds!

I have NEVER in my life been afraid of the police, I respect them and get along very well with them, However, My husband and I don't go into Ocean City, even in the dead of winter after being harrassed by the two so called Rent A Cops who don't even know how to enter an entire motorcycle tag number in so that it comes out to the right owner, but leave out half and it comes back that you don't even own an motorcycle. Times are changing, but very slowly!

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Sagittarius

You're in a strange mood, Sagittarius. You're feeling impatient and cross, and nothing is quite right. No wonder, with Mercury and Mars retrograde, under a Full Moon lunar eclipse! But is it necessary to be quite so contrary, so determined to do the opposite of what's expected of you? Try to sort out the problem sooner rather than later, then do something energetic and therapeutic so you can burn off your nervous energy. Then you're all set for a great New Year's Eve!
