It would be cruel to force people to do something they just don't know how to do. IT must start with "training". A gentle education in HOW TO. Many do not know parenting, house keeping, care of property and you know this. To just take away their shelter and food would be the most crueliest act for an American Gov AND this will not happen. People who recieve Welfare should be given more money helps. Am education in How to work is a must have prescription. People in America are proud and the Gov needs to cut all this wasteful aid to other countries and HELP our own Americans.

Actually, we spend about 1% of our budget on foreign aid.

But we over 30% of our budget on the military. And another 30% on social security.

So what is it you hope to gain by worrying about foreign aid when it accounts for so little of a 2.7 trillion dollar budget?

<quoted text>Agree BUT we have to think and be human about this, we have a 3rd - 4th Generation of Welfare folks. These dear folks "don't know how to work". The Great Society of President LBJ started it. It would be cruel to force people to do something they just don't know how to do. IT must start with "training". A gentle education in HOW TO. Many do not know parenting, house keeping, care of property and you know this. President Romney has a fine plan for this. He will give the person a fishing pole so to speak...To learn more of a perfect welfare system please get literature from the Mormon Church on their programs.
but if you double their ssi you are gonna see 5th and 6th generation of welfare. I say nip it now. Hey everyone has to grow up. When I was a sixteen year old kid I didnt have job knowledge or experience or training but the day I turned 16 I went to work and been working since. After about a week I had an idea of what I was doing and my feet got use to it and didnt hurt no more. I am being human about this my heart goes out to every working man and woman who works 40 hours a week but still cant afford to take their kid to the doctor. Yet these welfare guys go right on in. My heart goes out to all the workers my age (40) who have paid social security for 24 years just to have it taken away from us. I ask you Jim where is your compassion for the working man?? Who do you think is going to suffer when you DOUBLE the non workers income??? That money comes from you and me and I think taking one third of my money is too much already!!!

........The $50 light bulb you’ve already paid for

It costs about 100 times more than an old fashioned one, but a new $50 light bulb is not as crazy as it sounds -- the new bulb can last up to 30 years, is just as bright as the old-fashioned kind, and use a fraction of the electricity.

But even if you do not buy one, you have already helped pay for it. The Department of Energy awarded the bulb's maker, Philips, a $10 million prize for developing the "affordable" light bulb of the future.

The new LED will eventually save you money, even at 50 bucks a pop, both because it lasts longer than other bulbs, and because it uses just 10 watts of electricity to give off as much light as a 60 watt incandescent.

Alright Jim, "tommarow" I'll go to the dollar store. If light bulbs aren't $50 each, I'll be back on here to call you a liar and tell you my opinion about acting like you are a man of God. If the bulbs are $50 I will apologize for the bottom of my heart. Does that sound fair? I think this will tell much about your sincerity and state of mind. I miss Bush too but I'm enjoying missing the numb-skull so much. I've also enjoyed my 401K more than doubling since the ass left office. Have you done the research on the name Robin Lowman yet?

Funny thing about Ole Jim. He doesn't think things through very well. Here he is worried about light bulbs (like he and his fellow fleapublicans have been programmed to do), while the US is still paying oil companies 80 billion a year in subsidies. These very same companies that make 137 billion (average) in profits every year.

The dems tried to stop the shameful practice, but guess who stopped them:

I think it would be a good policy if people had to take an IQ test, pass a comprehension test and a reality check before being allowed to vote. That would weed out the one's who live in a fantasy world, and as you said, quote YouTube videos as factual sources and the one's who can't think for themselves. Everyone is not capable of making the best choice when voting for elected officials. Is it lack of intelligence, ignorance, being hard-headed or all three?

Yeah, but even though we don't like it, we have to give republicans credit for being able to manipulate the weakest and most cowardly people in America to vote for them. They engage in deception, manipulation, fear-mongering and rely on the ignorance of the people that vote for them. It's a brilliant strategy that will only work on the most simple minded.

If we required intelligence testing to vote, the republican party would cease to exist.

If identification is required at the polls the democratic party will fold.

You're full of sh!t. How did the Democrats allow it, Einstein? The poll workers are split 50/50 between Democrat and Republican. Did someone tell you that and you are so stupid you believed it? Did you make it up or does it just sound good to you? I guess it was the Democrats fault that the Titanic sunk too. You friggin' repub-LIE-I-CAN's will believe anything that fits your ideas no matter if it's true or not. Truth is not a major issue to you guys, is it? Anyone notice all these different names from Ashtabula Ohio? Ashtabula must have had a nut-house that had a gaggle of their most mentally challenged patients to escape. Maybe they will be caught before they hurt themselves. Look both ways before you cross the road, Harvey.(It's spelled "times" idiot, with an "s" at the end. It's plural) You republicans from Ashtabula can't spell, you don't use proper grammar or punctuate properly, still you support the party that wants to cut funding for education. Doesn't that tell you something? You're under-educated ass is exactly the type of moron that the republican fear mongering works on. ESAD

Republican politicians not only love your vote cancelling ability, they count on your ignorance to believe the bullshit they fill you with.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Pisces

Things are not always what they seem today, so be careful. Someone might appear to be completely honest but turn out later to have been fooling you in some way. Or a situation may seem quite clear-cut right now but forthcoming events will reveal that things are very different under the surface. So be wary about who and what you believe, and don't let anyone push you into making important decisions today because they may not be in your best interests.
