City of Doral-Best City in Florida to Start a Business

Doral, Florida – City of Doral was chosen by BusinessWeek to be one of the top 50 cities in the country to start a business; the only city in Florida to have received this recognition.

BusinessWeek set out to find the best small cities for startups in each state, aiming primarily to profile places where high-growth companies could thrive. They asked San Francisco-based GIS Planning, a geographic data provider that helps companies select optimal sites through its ZoomProspector Web site, to identify the best small city to start a business in every state across the country,(with populations between 20,000 and 200,000)"".

Venezuela among the most corrupt countries
Politics
The 13th biennial International Anti-Corruption Conference (IACC), organized by Transparency International (TI), ended on Sunday in Athens with a call on countries to boost cooperation between governments and civil society to eradicate corruption.

One of the conclusions of the meeting, which was attended by over 1,300 experts from 135 countries, was related to Central America and the Caribbean, whose presidents signed a protocol in the previous conference (2006), held in Guatemala, with the goal of harmonizing regional laws and policies against corruption until 2010, EFE reported.

The perception of corruption in Latin America is one of the highest in the world, only surpassed by some African countries. Alejandro Salas, director general of the Americas Department of TI, stressed the problems caused by the irregular financing of political parties in the region.

According to the Corruption Perception Index 2008, the countries with the highest perceived levels of corruption in Latin America are Haiti, Venezuela and Ecuador

There was this fried egg walking down the street, minding its own business. It hears some noise behind it, turns around, and sees a crowd of hungry Cubans in the distance bearing down on it. It runs away as fast as its little fried egg legs will go, when it sees a steak. It yells to the steak, "Run away! Run away! They'll get you too!" but the steak just laughs and says, "They won't even recognize me."

I have an uncle that is a psychologist in california and he has been following you case with some other colleagues. He told me there are many like you in Miami. He says the Cuba situation spawned many nut cases like you. They have been using the Topix sites to illustrate behaviors of people with your maladies. Some even think you are very sick. You should really seek for help or if you are do not stop taking your meds please. Don't feel alone now, you have much company to console you.

What Regalado is promising is Business As Usual. Nothing more. He had to kill a few ducks to show that the pond would be cleaned. They'll be back.

The misdirected patriotism that Miami Cubans have for their former homeland is a smoke-screen for continued parasitism. Most of the crap they pull takes place because no one stops them, and after decades of Fidel's abuse, "we deserve it." That excuse is wearing thin.

"It" happens to be anything they can scam, steal or suck out of a country they claim to have no respect for or allegiance to.

Those who pound their chests and show how many shopping centers they own, how many cars they drive, how well they made out on the housing bubble, are demonstrating their pride in being Cuban, not being American. "We don't got to learn no English... this is our club; we bought it, we own it..."

If being Cuban is such an overwhelming virtue, why are you HERE and not THERE? My sympathies for Miami Cubans. They have NO country and mistake Miami, the colony, for their own little country. America doesn't want them; Cuba doesn't want them. Quien es...

Cuba doesn't want them, neither does mainstream America; you are correct. Mayor Refalado's win was not surprising. He represent the old school Cuban refs. He even replaced and Irish-American with a Cuban....way to go and not at all discrimination at all </sarcasm>.

Miami Cubans love to be patriotic and claim that they love their country (Cuba), but from the safety zone of Miami: from the outside, looking in.

When a "refugee" makes landfall, he becomes an "immigrant."

If he works hard, learns the language, uses his head and stays honest, he becomes a "citizen."

If he stays in the dirty bathwater of his mother country and whines about injustices there, he becomes an "asshole."

It's not that studying history is wrong or that patrimony is a worthwhile pursuit, just that time travels in ONE direction. Accept this or live with the consequences.

You might read a little Edmund Burke while you're at it, even if he wasn't a Cuban.

Daily Horoscope for March 19

Sagittarius

Pay attention to your health as the Moon moves through Taurus and your sixth house of health and service today. It could be time for a check up, so make an appointment with your physician. Nervous tension could be leading you into bad habits that will undermine your health. If you feel stressed out, reach for your athletic shoes instead of a double martini and you'll be happy with the results.
