Why waste money on this city? Money to improve what? We have seen what the ghetto trash has done to every park that has been redone and improved. Build housing or renovate homes and the welfare folk will eventually make a new slum ot of an old slum. Let the place rot. It is almost there anyway.

"The city appealed to the county for a portion of those funds, but county officials said York City was ineligible and that the money would be spent in Hanover, Dallastown, West York, Red Lion and Yoe boroughs."

All this talk about "ghetto trash" makes me think none of you live in the city. I live in the city and it may not be the best place or the safest, it still deserves to get money like everyone else. This is racial profiling believe it or not. You expect a plant to grow if you don't give it sunlight or water? This just goes to show you that everyone IS abandoning the city. If you don't clean up a mess, it doesn't go away...it just spreads...

Spend it on deportation of the scu&bags that have ruined York. Don't waste the money on these slobs and felons. Better yet level the dump and start over.

so if the city's demographic doesn't mirror that of HANOVER, DALLASTOWN, WEST YORK, AND RED LION, then they don't deserve it?

Even a city resident said it's not the best or safest place, so why bother? It's not the best cuz of the people that live there. It was given many chances to improve but each time some ghetto trash or gang ruins it again.

Excuse me? York City IS NOT part of York, PA! IT IS YORK, PA! That was the old talk that "Goodtime Charlie" tried using when they applied for All-American City status! The business he touted (Harley, Martins Chips etc) were not in York City but they never applied under the "Greater York Area). The application was for York City! Now I can see where Mayor Brenner gets his brilliance!

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Scorpio

Let the past stay in the past for now. Even though you may have fond memories of intense experiences, the Virgo Moon sees to it that you have virtually no desire to go there again just yet. This is your opportunity to show others what you can do in a more civilised environment. Don't try to shout down someone who is rude enough to interrupt. As unlikely as it may seem, the softest voice has the biggest chance of being heard today.
