yes, I'm sure the people who purchased acreages between omaha and lincoln must be outraged that a bike trail would be put in, even though the plans have existed for years and most of the trail was already completed. and they must be truly worried about the crazed criminals who would bike out to rob them. grow up.
the real trouble with bicyclists in the area is the great bike race which has careless inconsiderate bikers on a state highway, and of course the ones who choose to relieve their bowels on private property in view of peoples houses.
as for the criminal element, they have no misgivings about driving a CAR out to "the country" to commit criminal acts, and they certainly ( I speak from personal experience {hi kirby])are not limited to criminals from the city, or the private sector for that matter.

"Too close and you never know who is going to come off of the trail and come up here when you have a 5-year-old and a single woman out here by ourselves, it’s just not safe." Michelle Platt

Have the state build her a fence so she can stfu. Seriously, who is afraid of bikeriders???

Also, why tell all of Omaha your and your daughter are by yourselves, way out in the country?

That is actually more dangerous.
