I would have been with Pamida 3 years next month and it really hurts to see it close its doors. All the employees at the store worked so hard to make sure the customers were happy. I've help so many people, by finding something they couldn’t, to doing home delivery’s with my own car and on my own time not asking for any money from the customer or the company, or going to their homes to help them hook up a TV or to show them how something works. Knowing that corporate only cares about the numbers and can’t make it work by working with the city and the chamber really ticks me off. Pamida was my second home, everyone I worked with was a second family. I really wish there was away to save the store!!!!:'(

I understand Pamida Employee's blog and can see her/his complaints. However, Pamida is not choosing a store to close because it wants to hurt its employees, it closes stores due to lack of sales and how it is outlooked toward the bottom line. If the store was dragging sales, even though it may have looked promising, the outlook was very dim. And in order for Pamida to stay afloat and not go totally under, it had to cut costs wherever it could. And unfortunately, it may cause employees to lose their jobs.

Pamida always has been a lousey employer!!!!! Shoplifting and employee theft were unbelieveably astronomical!!!Sale items were never or very few sent to the store and all of stressful predicaments were ignored by the district manager. If your a hard working and dedicated individual, don't waste your time here!!!I refuse to even shop there!!
