woodchopping 2012

woodchopping has really went to the dogs, less food stands, and the parade was horrible Woodchopping committee needs to do something, what do u think about it?

less and less crowds as this festival has gone down hill in a big way; the parade, using that term loosely, is the biggest joke ever, and then when it's over, everyone "parades" over to baker's island to pay entrance fees to pay for food

Lets see everyone complaining ....and yet everyone goes if u don't wanna pay to enjoy a activity don't stay home some ..most go for social aspect its ur choice ...complaints not needed it gets old

I think the island looks great. Don McCourt has done a great job. Woodchoppers will get better. Look at the crowd at the concert last night. EVERYONE ELSE loved it.

It would be nice if they could get more High School Bands to take part in the parade like they did several years ago.

I haven't watched the parade for a while now, but the last time I did, our High School Band wasn't even there, just the Webster Springs Elementary School Band.

I think the wood choppers should be in the parade either walking or on a float with pieces of logs or some kind of make shift trees. Give people something different and they will come. It is just to much to charge for parking and entry onto the island.
I agree any school in Webster Co should have their band in the parade. Get a few bands to play, have a few games other than horseshoes. Nothing ever changes in Webster except for the people leaving. No place to buy clothes or shoes, except for the Dollar Stores and second hand stores. Yep lets all just go to the bars and spend our money, be pulled over for a DUI and give our money to the county.... No thanks, glad to say I don't live in the Springs.
I've paid enough money out for the illegal parking meters on main st.

I don't go anymore. Last time I went I snuck in like four times. I wasn't payin' when they wouldn't get anything good. So I can understand why people don't want to go.
