Hi, I got a job in Rochester and homes look affordable in Greece and it is a mile from the shore. In NJ, you would have to pay half a mil to be near the shore.

Are there any downsides to living in Greece, taxes look high, but I saw some list online that, says it is one of the safest communities in the US.

Anyone have info to share?

Greece is crime infested, known for murders, home invasions, out of control kids in malls and buses, and dirty cops.

Come live in the City of Rochester. The City even runs right up the the lake.
Affordable housing, near everything, friendly helpful and deserve people.

BarnFart is a retard, BUT, Greece is really disgusting. Classic suburban sprawl with no soul.

Stay out of the city. Unless you're poor.

Hey, why you all so negative and racist. Is there really a problem with Greece?

The website says it has malls, a beach, parks, and a great school system for my kids.

I hear that it even has a place called Wegmans Mt Read grocery- that i saw in the news

You see, i live in a suburb of NYC, and Im sick of the drug dealing, shootings, and poor quality of life here, and my new job is near Greece and Irond- looks like Irond is scummy, bc i stayed there ovrnite on my interview trip.

Greece looks nice for me and my family.

Somone pleas be serious and give me your opinon

Affinity Lane is English Village.
English Village is the outer-burbs that's crime ridden.
All the white welfare criminals live in English Village on Affinity Lane.

This property is the old English Village. While they have made efforts to improve the property, they are still a LOT of problems here. They installed "security cameras" all over the property, but people quickly learned that OP never uses them - they could even be fake. I've reported several serious issues including potential break-ins and they never once checked the security footage to identify the criminals. There are a lot of troublesome teens on the property who run around unsupervised, and the management doesn't do anything about it. They set fires, ring door buzzers after midnight on random apartments, are loud, drink and smoke, and just cause trouble. Despite my reports, not one thing has been done to stop these behaviors or even identify the teens responsible. Security is a huge issue here. You will get people randomly ringing your bell asking you to let them into your building. Nearly all of the cars on the property have intentional damage - scratches and such. The property isn't that well lit so criminals love it here. You have to be concerned every time you go out to get your mail or go to your car, because random people will approach you. Another huge problem is rude and inconsiderate neighbors. Many of the people here are on Section 8, so it's not their money and they don't care what happens to the property. You'll find trash in your hallways and all over the property. My particular hallway smells like straight up trash on a hot summer day. People also smoke everywhere, including in the hallways (which is "not allowed") and leave cigarette ashes all over the entrance ways. Management again doesn't do much of anything. Noise is big concern. People just don't care, even if management intervenes. You can expect loud music all hours of the day and night, and young children seem to have run of the place during the day. I thought I was in a building that was all 1-bedroom apartments, but apparently children live here and scream and cry all day long. There are also a lot of arguing couples, and the property (according to the lease) takes no action against domestic violence. For some reason there are problems with the electrical and cable wiring here. Our cable and Internet through Time Warner Cable blinks on and off all day long, and there are blackouts (very short ones) every once in a while. The only thing I do like is the apartments are pretty nice - they have fairly new windows, and the top floor has vaulted ceilings with a skylight and a small balcony. When I moved in though the apartment was fairly dirty - the rug needed vacuuming, there was food all down the side of the stove and fridge, and the tub had hairs and soap scum. The maintenance people are also very friendly and helpful - though there are only 5 of them for over 500 units. They're overworked but they are always willing to help you at least. BOTTOM LINE: For another $100 a month or so you can live in a far better place in Greece.

Any crime or problems in Greece are caused by former city residents who moved into Greece. Drug addicts and dealers, welfare losers, single moms by black men who left them high and dry, white trash dirt bags. Dont live in English Village or Greece Commons or near West Ridge Rd, the Mall or Charlotte HS.
You are better off in N.Greece, anywhere north of Latta.

Also Irondequoit is very nice. You must've stayed at either Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express next to Rte 104., pick a place further north towards Titus. Very good school system and has 2 Wegmans, parks and beaches too.

Are you trying to claim Charlotte HS as belonging to Greece?
It's sorta how you white people in the burbs try to claim Charlotte Beach as yours.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Scorpio

You're in a very romantic and sentimental state today. You're also feeling quite sensitive and vulnerable, so you won't want to be around anyone you find abrasive or aggressive. If you meet someone for the first time now you'll think they're wonderful and your relationship will always involve putting them on a pedestal. But don't be too idealistic. They are human, remember!
