Most people who get their car repossessed claim that they "are not behind on the payments". If that driver of the wrecker wanted to steal a vehicle, why would he take that particular truck, in the middle of the day, at a crowded gas station, with video cameras?

Because it has been happening everywhere. I hope they get this theif. Chevy Silverados have been stolen for the last several months all over Asheville. Many on Tunnel Rd, never seen again. I know a boy that had his Chevy stolen at Hooters a week back. They were stealing them off Brevard Rd. last year real bad. Just because it's daylight doesn't mean crime still doesn't happen. I don't know why the Silverado's but that's the one they have been taking like crazy the last 2 years from here. Guess the guy didn't see the cameras, sometimes they are more focused on the target.

He is not a Repo guy you stupid ass. He may have did it at one time and that's why he's so good at getting them quick. Anyone with half a lick of sense would know that the police have access to find out if the truck was repo'd and it was not, otherwise they wouldn't have done a larceny report for it and put it on the front page of the paper. But clearly, you don't have half a damn lick of sense!

Tell me please, was it a repo or a stolen???? I've seen this truck lots of times around West Asheville. Did they check with the finance company or dealership? Is this really front page news?? Surely we have officers who have better things to do than run rings around the county.

The gentleman in question is very quick at getting vehicles, because he IS a Professional RepoMan! And anyone with a lick of sense would know the Waynesville Police Dept. has dropped the ball in their investigation and failed to verify whether the "owner" of the truck was actually current on his vehicle payments. Now they will have egg on their face and prob. a lawsuit. SO, Keep believing everything you read, and cheer on your fellow deadbeats. They have made the Police Dept. and the newspaper look like as big of an Idiot as you Sir.

Then who is it, and why is it still up on the Citizen times. Now who is the idiot. And if he has done soooo many jobs, why did he let this stuff sit in the paper for 2 days.
