One reason for this growth is the fact North Carolina is only one of four states that still allows forced annexation.

By forced annexation I mean you get annexed into the city, pay the city taxes, get some of the city services, after two years, and have no say on who is in city government that brought on this forcefull taking of your property and tax dollars.

Certainly much of the growth in North Carolina cities can be tacked to this unlawful tactic cities use to feny the property owners rights to have representation before taxiation, and to freely enjoy the fruits of their labors and hard earned money.

Ashame North Carolina stands out in this mis-treatment of the rights of the people and the cities in the state love to hide behind this state law.

Can I make an observation. Many, myself occasionally included, complain about all the outsiders moving here and taking over. If nothing else doesn't this census show that a huge influx of floridiots is a farce? If I am misunderstanding this please feel free to educate me. The only way I can work the massive influx with such low growth numbers. Would be if we were losing large numbers of life long local at virtually the same rate as we gained outsiders.
