I was glad to see Punt go! Except now have to pay his bloated pension plus Alloways salary (I'm afraid he's not much better either). I just hope that if they do actually go ahead with this idiotic idea that they have the sense to build the bypass around Waynesboro first. Then I won't have to be reminded of travelocity every time I go through town.

I always heard there was a bunch of "old money" in Waynesboro. Apparently that "old money" has developed Alzheimer's.

Beyond that, "he brought millions into the local area" do you forget that they were our millions to begin with. I HATE STUPID PEOPLE!!! WAKE UP AMERICA!!! YOU ARE BEING ROBBED!!!!!

Right on Troy ! I told all my neighbors we were headed in the wrong direction with all these "reformers". Now all they've done is reform us to the poorhouse. We should have appreciated what we had.

Hilariously pathetic.
The guy has his photo taken regularly before each election handing out cardboard checks of some of our tax money coming back to the area ... and gets huge pay, benefits and retirement for it ... and they want to build a statue of him?
If I were Terry I'd be really embarrassed and put a halt to it TODAY!

I suggest providing an electronic debt clock on the base of the monument that records how much the 50% pension increase Punt supported is costing the state.

And on the other side a list of the constitutional clauses violated by Punt in the Great Payraise Scandal of 2005.

And shape his hand greedily clutching the payraise as he refused to return it until he realized the game was up.

"short statue"...now that's funny; you know that's funny.

A statue of Punt from solid stone. Yep - a midget pebble.

The statue needs to be wearing ice skates. Terry lined up $100,000 of taxpayer money for the biggest boondogle in Waynesbor history. Hey, let's build an ice rink because some old gal puts in her will that the community can have her $500,000 to create her dying wish of an Olympic Skating Rink. Thanks Terry.

Lets picture this statue. Will it be Terry trying to spread his charm is the various resturants leaving large tips in an attempt to smooze waitresses? Or will it be Terry smoking in public places while suffering from heart problems & diabetes. So many ways to remember Ole Terry, but none are real positve.

No statue needed!!

Punt the Greedy Runt is an emblem of the corrupt members of the general assembly like the current speaker who spent $4,000 for chunks of coal as desk nameplates for other members and the nitwit who ordered the bibles and Torahs using taxpayers' money.
Punt the Greedy Runt should be mentioned in Franklin County Civics classes as an example of what's wrong with government in Pennsylvania. A statue to honor him is a joke and the Waynesboro businessmen who have the idea should rethink it's a good idea should get counselling.

The James Buchanan statue mentioned in the article is in Mercersburg next to the 1st National Bank of Mercersburg downtown.

How did this guy vote on the automatic COLAs that give his pals (and previously himself) raises when the state is broke and will be cutting services to the taxpayers of the state?

You want a statue for him? Pay for it yourself and keep it out off public property. I don't want to pay for a statue for a guy I never voted for, nor do I particularly want to look at it either!

How dare you posters impune the honor of a cook who bravely slung chow in South Korea (and claimed to be a South-East Asian war vet?) The enscription should be: "What do you do when it's forth and long? Punt!"

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Cancer

Your powers of concentration are finely honed today, enabling you to focus on something to the exclusion of all else. This is just what you need if you're hoping to make a big dent in your workload or you're doing something very fiddly or detailed. But it's important that you know when to stop, otherwise you might get really weary and lose your effectiveness.
