Is Dave w/ISP Clearfield Real Dave or Roger?

Oh, so extending the Bush tax cuts and ending Obamacare is going to restore the economy? Why hasn't that worked already? The Bush tax cuts are in place now and only a few parts of Obamacare have been implemented. Why isn't the economy booming? Romney has no plan. |
|
Prove it. Obama's policies are working. Four years ago, the economy was shrinking; now it's growing. Four years ago, the economy was hemorrhaging jobs; now it's gaining jobs. Four years ago, the unemployment rate was going up; now it's going down. Four years ago, the stock market was crashing; now it's reaching new heights. Four years ago, the deficit was getting bigger; now it's getting smaller. Four years ago, the American auto industry was on the verge of collapse; now it's thriving. The facts don't support your position. Maybe things aren't getting better as fast as you like, but that's a natural result of having the biggest recession since the Great Depression and a Republican party that's actively undermining the recovery. There is no intellectually honest way to blame Obama for the recession. |

LMAO!! Keep RUNNING from the FACTS!!! |

It's obviously not RealDave. And Roger has has been caught posting under multiple names and hasn't posted here as Roger in over a week. |

False. ---------- Romney's energy-project past But Romney is a private-sector venture capitalist by vocation, and during his tenure as Massachusetts Governor he set up a program almost exactly like the ones he's now denouncing. In 2003, Romney launched the Massachusetts Green Energy Fund, a $15 million project aimed at providing "an opportunity to capitalize on two emerging trends: the growing level of investment interest in clean energy and the importance of Massachusetts' academic and corporate R&D in forming clean energy technology companies," according to its website. ... Of the six companies listed in the fund's portfolio, three are either struggling or have shut down completely. The fuel cell company CTP Hydrogen, for example, closed its doors in 2008 and laid off most of its 10-person staff. Protonex Technology Corporation recently delisted from the London Stock Exchange, laying off a third of its employees and shuttering its Colorado location. And Konarka Technologies, Inc., is staying afloat but its slow progress and growth have prompted questions about its viability. For Konarka, which received $9 million in grants and $1.5 million in loans from the state in 2003, the only products on the market so far are a solar bag and solar umbrella. The company intends to eventually produce solar power-generated material that would be used in roofs or walls. ---------- As governor of MA, Romney made EXACTLY the same kind of investments in green energy WITH public money, and experienced EXACTLY the same kind of failures as Solyndra. Romney's criticisms of Solyndra are pure hypocrisy. |

What is your opinion of the companies "Acusphere" and "Spherics Inc."?
Oh, you don't know about them? Here you go: "GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney has hammered President Obama for his administration’s tax-funded investment blunders — but when Romney was governor, the state handed out $4.5 million in loans to two firms run by his campaign donors that have since defaulted, leaving taxpayers holding the bag. The two companies — Acusphere and Spherics Inc.— stiffed the state on nearly $2.1 million in loans provided through the state’s Emerging Technology Fund, a $25 million investment program created while Romney was governor in 2003 that benefitted 13 local firms. Acusphere, a biotechnology firm headed by a Romney campaign donor, got $2 million in 2004 that it was supposed to put toward a $20 million manufacturing facility in Tewksbury, which never became fully operational. Calls to Acusphere’s headquarters in Lexington were not returned." So, I guess if "a Republican loans money to a start-up technology company that goes bankrupt, that's a GOOD thing, but if a democrat does it, its a bad thing?" Among the myriad of examples one can use, isn't this a simple expose of the hypocrisy of the GOP? BIZ BLUNDERS: Two investments made by the Romney administration Acusphere in Tewksbury and Spherics Inc., which was formerly housed in Mansfield, above,— cost the state millions of dollars. Like so much of what came before with Mitt Romney, there is the Romney that talks and there is the unpopular governor of Massachusetts who left office with a 36 percent approval rating. The truth is Romney doesn't have a good record when it comes to creating jobs when he was governor of Massachusetts. When Romney took office Massachusetts was ranked 36 in job development in the United States. In the four years Romney was in office it fell to 47. When Romney took office unemployment the unemployment rate in Massachusetts was below the national average. When he left it was above the national average. What's interesting in this is Romney looked to government to create jobs too, just like Obama has with green energy initiatives. Romney invested tax payer dollars with similar green energy initiatives and came up with the same failures. LQQK HERE: http://bungalowbillscw.blogspot.com/2012/06/r... The best advice for Romney is take to the Constitution and give up his desire to be a central planner and micro manager, which he has been all of his life from an venture capitalist to governor. He has proven himself to be a failure as a central planner on the government level and yet that is what he is promising the American people that is what he will be. Of course, the Constitution doesn't give the federal government the power to be central planners and micro managers. It's not the role of government to create jobs.

Bain is referring to 350 companies that it invested in over a 28-year period, and it is including only companies that filed for bankruptcy “while under our control.” But the Wall Street Journal tracked the success or failure of 77 companies in which Bain invested from 1984 to February 1999, when Romney was in charge. Also, the Journal tracked the performance of those 77 companies for eight years, so it includes some companies that filed for bankruptcy after Bain relinquished control.
As a result, the Wall Street Journal found that a far higher percentage of companies filed for bankruptcy or went out of business under Romney. Dan the Man Hanover, PA sez LOL! Well, THAT'S convincing. You can't give details because Romney can't give details. Why do you support a candidate who won't tell you what he's going to do? .......... Breaking News: No Relief From High Unemployment For Blacks Unfortunately, the unemployment rate for African Americans rose in May to 13.6 percent from 13.0 percent in April, the Labor Department said on Friday. The numbers mirrored the national unemployment rate, which also increased to 8.2 percent from 8.1 percent, the first rise in 11 months. Further, employers created only 69,000 jobs in May, the smallest amount in a year. The startling numbers mean that federal, state, and local governments will have to invest in job-training programs for African-American workers who are increasingly losing jobs like those in the public sector, Rep. Danny K. Davis (Ill-D) told NewsOne. .......... Indeed, no president has stayed in office since the Great Depression with an unemployment rate as high as 8.2 percent. .......... Be Proud!!!! Say it Loud!!!! “First Gay President” With A Little Rainbow Halo Over His Head. |

Carlisle, PA sez No, I've only blamed Bush for things Bush ACTUALLY did. You're blaming Obama for things he had nothing to do with. You're blaming Obama for things we know Bush is responsible for. ..........
