Do You Feel Safe In Your Neighborhood?

As I go around town see things happening And read about things about people being shot, Cars being stolen, Lack of jobs here in town, Houses being broken into, People are fighting more and more daily, Tensions are getting higher every day it seems. I believe it is because the lack of good jobs here in town so there are more people left with nothing to do and more people doing more drugs and they get hook on drugs and that means they have to do something to support this habit, Or people drinking more on the weekend because there is nothing else to do here in town that leads to fighting and sometimes worse.
Just this past week in my own neighborhood we had a stickup a burglar and someone that stole a car wreaked it near my house not to mention the drug activity has gone up and this is not from young people, This is older people selling because they can not make ends meet because the dollar does not go as far as it used to. And my neighborhood is not that bad.. Most people can still walk around at night without worry about things, But I carry a gun when I walk at night (I do have a permit just in case you are wondering) Because I do not trust some of the people around my house... I know who they are and what they have done and doing...

So I ask YOU??? DO YOU FEEL SAFE IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD??

relatively safe. we have had a few robberies and break-ins, though. Our next door neighbors house was broken into, but its been vacant for a year, waiting to be sold. A few years ago someone came into our backyard where we park and stole money from inside my car and my sister's car. But they weren't locked, and now we lock them. What sucks is that it was Christmas Eve and my sister had $500 in her car that was stolen (she only went into the house for a second, she went back out and someone had grabbed her purse from the front seat). But we have just installed a $5000 fence and electronic gate to get into our house, so I do feel safer.

It is a shame that we have to install fences and gates and camers just to feel safe, I remember when I could leave my door and windows open the summer time and go to bed at let the summer breeze come in and get a sleep...Not now! If you do that know you are likely to find someone in your house and maybe findyour self shot or stabed depending on where you live now days...

I have 4 camera's around my house and I know who comes and goes around my house and next door to me.. It is a shame but it is the times we live in now days.

Yes I do because if you come in my yard it is recorded and if you come in my house I have the right to bear arms and use them..Nuff said...I feel safe...

I was sitting in my dining room drinking coffee with my family saturday night. Someone sent off my car alarm. When we went outside, two people were running down the street. I haven't had any problems since I've been here. I like living in Waycross. I moved here with my family from Jacksonville.

I used to live in Jacksonville Fla. and I moved to the Waycross area because I can actually walk around without being shot at night and being robbed at gun point. I sold my home in Atlanta Ga and in Jacksonville Fla because of the high crime rates and high Tax base, Also because I travel so much my homes where being broken into a lot, Here in Wayross the last 5 years my house has not been broken into at all, Even when I am gone for prolong periods of time...So As I read your post I feel safe in Waycross..
