one on mustang line and other in the back of building , i was in the bathroom and heard them talking one thinks someone is after her teamleader job and said they could work togeather and get rid of anybody they want to if we put our minds to it ! THIS IS NOT Right getting people in trouble just because they can . i have not been there long but you can tell they are playing in front office and making more money than senior workers, thats the talk all over the building and the short time i have been there i can tell the MEN that works there (DOES NOT LIKE IT )!
they say the new plant manager does kiss up to them also. every one thinks he is the cause of browns being in so much trouble now - was very profitable before he came there.

yea ! i know what you mean them two women have been there half the time of most people that works at browns And Really went up quick, them two hides more shit from the supervisors and front office SO it want look bad on them ,but it always comes back on one of the other workers ! ALWAYS . I think the new owners should just clean house with all the (plant , production, humanResource Managers )!

Tomasco Mulciber's Columbus plant to close

213 jobs will be lost at plant on Southeast Side

Tomasco Mulciber Inc., a parts supplier for Honda, is closing its Columbus plant, leading to the loss of 213 jobs.

The company, also known as TMI, makes hand brakes, hood locks and fuel lids, among other parts. The Southeast Side plant will begin to wind down operations in November and close by next June.

"The decision to cease operations at TMI was made after months of extensive evaluations, which concluded that Tomasco could not continue operations given the current and forecasted business and economic environment," the company said in a statement.

"Our greatest concern is for our associates and their families. We will do all that we can to provide help and support to our associates through this transition."

It really is the managment team we have had in the last 8 to 10 years. they have ran it to the ground promoting friends and lovers to positions they were not qualified to do or have any idea how to manage.

They brow beat production
associates and got patted on the back for it. And production and quality was on the back burner.all they cared about was getting things their way and making the bucks.

i was told this is why the other plant manager would not let any women control the lines because it always caused trouble with the men working there . by the way things looks that must be true
hope someone opens their eyes before its too late .

this must be kinda true because i even hear the women complaining about the so called team leaders if it wasn`t for the guys walking "behind" them makeing sure it was done right things would be worse than they are now ! fringe benefits i guess

This may be true about the 2 women but bet that it will catch up with them. They got mostly good folks there that will see thru that crap.

i think people sould get their stories straight before running their mouths , i have seen so many people get in trouble with management from other people making comments about someone else and management not really knowing the whole truth, who ever has something to say need to tell their name and not hide behind the computer screen , there are not two ladys that are "teamleaders"
there are only one lady that is teamleader whitch will out work most men on the floor / meaning work area , stays after hours,comes in on saturdays when most others are crying to stay home, work as hard if not harder than most men in that place
so if you or any body else has anything to say "bad" about "CAROL" or any of our other family members that work there
because after years of working togeather it seem like we all are brother and sisters (TAKE IT TO THE OFFICE ) not on here.

anyone know whats been going on at the brown corporation in waverly. i've been hearing alot of rumors lately, and was just wondering if anyone could fill me in on any stories about the place. i used to work there for a long time, and i'm finding it hard to believe what i've heard about the place this year. i really loved working there but it was just time for me to move on. i hate to hear the place is in any kind of trouble. it was a very fun place to work with a shit load of good people to work with.

i'd like to know if granny still works at brown. probly not, she was getting up there in age when i worked there but my god she was a great employee, and a very good worker. she was always fun to work with. just wondering if she's still alive or not.

There is no longer a Brown Corp. As of mid Nov., it's now Van-Rob Waverly. A few yrs back a investment group (BHM Tech.) bought all the Brown plants. With the failing economy and not knowing how to run a pie factory... they had to file bankruptcy.
For the past year, all the brown plants were for sale. In Jan. 2009, they took away profit sharing, attendance bonuses. Morale at the plant is very down. People just don't care about quality. And the front office putting temps (not knowing what the hell they were looking for)inspecting their products. Brown has been in big trouble with it's suppliers.
Everyone is excited about Van-Rob buying the Waverly plant.
