no, you're all wrong! it was her husband leo. brandi was like my mom. i grew up with her daughter bailey. mii mom and brandi were best friends and we miss her terribly.

SO i know Leo . I met him at the Rid. Not a bad guy. Its easy to say what you would do in a situation like that. No one really knows what happened except him. Let the first one without sin cast the first stone.

LoL. Something like that except all our showers were at night. Not alot of prvacy though. I pray that God's will be done. Like I said I wasn't there and do not know what happened. Would you still ask for the same justice if Leo were your brother and had made this mistake?

The trial is set for January 2010. It is taking awhile but I am sure justice will be served soon.

Murdering your wife, putting her body in a trash can, and disposing of her body with your two year old in the car, a mile from your house...running around town lying, telling people she ran off...having many folks put valuable time and effort into searching for her, doesn't some like a "mistake" to me. If my child/brother committed this "sin", I would just pray for their soul hoping they don't enter hell. Their sentence on earth is theirs to deal with. Nice for you to stick up for him though. I am sure he was real pleasant in RID.

And your comment about this being a "mistake"...not so much...A mistake is when you trip and fall...or run into someone, or maybe not paying a bill on time...THIS IS MURDER...NOT a mistake....maybe you need to go back to RID to figure out what the difference is....
and BTW..if this was your Sister this happened to...would you still think it was a mistake?...

I have a sister in law named Tammie...Good question. That is why I raised it as such. I know Leo so I am partial which is why I could never serve on a Jury. My sticking up for "loser Leo" can only go as far as what I know. That I am sure is limited as well. I know one side. Im not here to defend what he did after any human can tell that was wrong. I just know people are killed accidently all the time. As far as returning to the R.I.D to learn what a mistake is. I've learned from my petty mistakes I made as a minor and will go back to my college and continue on to my degree. It didnt take the R.I.D to teach me anything. It took growing up. My reference as you say Tammy not holding water with you...Who art Thou most high TammiE? I only raise an intellectual proposal that we as humans forget to do. Put yourself in someone elses shoes. Its hard to believe that leo did that. Like I said if he had not have told me I never would have known. He's not a bad guy... Thats the truth as how it happened to me Tammie. Perception is everything and nothing all in the same.

When I said leo is not a bad guy I mean outwardly. No one truly knows what goes on in anyones head. What he did I cant stick up for. Likewise if my child/brother admited to purposely doing all of this I would feel the same way. BTw what does JMO mean?

I am not trying to be rude or condesending so I would like to apologize now, just in case I come across that way, but I have 1 question for you, before you posted the coment above, did you do any research on the legal case against Leo? Did you bother to Google Brandi Hawkins Laurent or Leo Laurent? Everyone is entitled to an opinion, I have mine and you have yours, but I don't like to form an opinion unless I have been educated or researched the subject at hand. Like you said in one of your post, you only have 1 side of the story, I challenge you to go read all of the articles and stories out there and then come back and tell me if you think Leo is an ok person. In addition to that, I would really like to know what your thoughts are regarding the fact that Leo tried to pin this on a totally innocent man. There very easily could be the wrong person sitting in jail right now, had it not been because people did there homework first, before they formed an opinion. Just food for thought

LIke I said before staci I am only stating that if you didnt know all this you could never tell... I did read up on it after. Its all shocking, sad, unbelievable and to think that a person who was so nice to me could do this??? It baffles me. Once you tell one lie its an avalanch effect.

The sentence will come, and the VERY FEW believers can pay for him an attorney for an appeal. Well Leo should have plenty of money in the bank after all of the embezzling he did and swindling different women out of money. These are facts on record and he has admitted guilt for being a thief. "he is such a nice guy, but such a thief!" Well, I will keep my purse close and my loved ones closer if he gets out. He wont, but, just a thought. As one of the searchers for Brandi, I can tell you, Leo wasnt there. The people who truly loved Brandi was! He wasnt at fund raisers, or memorial service, he didnt even pay for anything after he was given money to take care of certain arrangements! wow, all the memories floating to the top... I will be glad when we can celebrate........ JUSTICE FOR BRANDI!
