Aurora Police Make Arrest In 2007 Murder

Daniel Lopez is a drug user not a murderer & rapist. His DNA was found because he was a contract employee at the apt complex. Detective Miller should be looking for the real killer. Miller interviewed Lopez's estranged wife who told him this. Very convenient to pin this on a Hispanic even though there is no motive.

Hopefully a speedy trial will clear him.

Yep - I'm sure the sexual assault DNA is because he was a contract employee. Employees can sure get into strange places . . .

The sperm found in the victim was not used because the body was decomposed. Mr. Lopez would not be in jail if that was the case. Also did you know that most rapes are committed by Anglos & Blacks NOT HISPANICS.

I notice that you say "most" rapes are committed ... You did not say ALL rapes. That being the case, what is your point?

My point is that statistically speaking the chances are it could be someone else.

Hopefully you will not be on the jury. Also I hope you live in Aurora, so that your taxes will be used to support Daniel Lopez's family for the rest of their lives!

How do you know what DNA samples were used and what DNA samples were not used. Obviously, they have charged him with raping the victim - they don't do that unless they have evidence to support it.

And why would I be supporting Daniel Lopez' family? Seems to me, that having already been in jail, he wasn't supporting his family to begin with.

Because ACLU will be suing Aurora Police Dept!

Glad they caught up to this old lady rapist/killer - no doubt they've prevented more rapes and murders.

Watch for a guilty plea after the extent of the DNA evidence is known.

Oh well, this is Colorado where they can not find Jon Benet's killer and apparently this lady too....

Here's how I see it. If you get yourself mixed up in something shady, you're going to get yourself into these kinds of situations. Maybe he did it, maybe he didn't. But most of the people that are in jail are in there because the police had reason to believe they should be. If you're an upstanding citizen, the police will never have to make those judgements. So saying "but he's not a murderer, he's just a drug user!" doesn't mean a whole lot.

How was his DNA found? Where? What kind of sample? Any workers at the former apt complex I lived in left behind only dirt from their boots, dust from the dry wall, and possibly a hair or two that fell from their head. They certainly never left a noticeable DNA sample.

I took a very long hiatus from topix as well. Too much other stuff going on! I'm back for the time being, though.

He was still charged even when they admited that DNA was contaminated and his fingerprints and DNA are not on the murder weapon ( aknife) and was denied bond. So I guess Lady Justice is blind and does not see.

Do you actually have citations ofr any of these claims you're making? It's not in the news.
