I just spent a little bit of time on the Grafton County's website and found NUMEROUS liens filed against ALL the Stones - Courtney, Sean, the old man, "StoneCo" (with Sean's signature)by both the State of NH as well as Federal liens for non-payment of taxes. From what I saw - hundreds of thousands of dollars of liens filed. Some of the liens were released based on payment (with OUR money most likely????), but just looking quickly it's a wild view into what was really going on... So unfortunately I don't believe we will ever see any of our money from the Stones...there are too many people (i.e. the government!) ahead of us.

I'm worried about this, too, but our money was stolen. The government might be first in line for legally owned assets, but can it really claim proceeds from a criminal enterprise to cover back taxes instead of returning it to the victims?

Waterville Dan - Can you elaborate a little on your warning. I made two postings to this forum that were apparently deleted. The postings were based on facts with public links and I tried to make little judgment on how those facts should be interpreted. That concerns me and your comment suggests there may be more to be learned about this site!
Should this forum be moved to another site?

I, too, made a couple of posts using my real name and a public link to my blog where I've posted about this situation - they were also deleted. Who's moderating this forum and how does the mod choose who to delete?

NH business owner wrote: I am a contractor who has worked with stone property for over 20 years. It wasn't until Countney and Sean stepping into the business, that slow payment, bounced checks, and false promises of payment began to take place. Bill built and ran a successful business. We never had problems with collecting when he was in place. Unfortunately He made a mistake trusting family to step into his shoes, as he tried to retire. Yes, one person, or two, can secretly destroy a family business out of greed, without the principle owner knowing. It's called unconditional trust, and it happens often in family businesses. Our company went through the same problem, but not at Stone's level. In the end, it will be Bill who loses, for his lack of keeping his fingers in the daily happenings of Stone Property Management. Sad. Thank you for your kindness and faith. You are the only person who has accurately posted the true facs.

Just remembered that I heard Stone was trying to get FEMA money to shore up Tyler Spring after the horrible floods...might also help explain any Fed involvement.

Is there any other forum (web or otherwise) to get or share information? Anyone aware of whether any association has put up a forum, discussion group, bulletin board or website?

Hockey may be a part of the reason. There are many. Properties not reinvesting. Same old tired events. No new attractions.Economy. Competition.Less Skiers. Day skiers will start heading home rather than head the toward the village. No direct link from the mountain to the village. Poorly designed. Too bad. Great place but needs to reinvent itself.
