I recently visited Value City Department Store in Matteson, IL. I asked a store manager when was the store closing and he responded we are not closing. But 70% of the store is gone and all sales are final. Now what does that tell you?

three of the stores in Maryland have had the store closing sales. i only know of one more in the state. i went to that one on saturday and they had a full store of merchandise so i'll just wait to see it that one stays around. i really like shopping their until they go rid of the lay-a-way. then i didn't shop their as much.

'There'. The word is 'there'. You don't shop 'there' as much.

I'm glad that their closed. I worked there for ten years. When I first got there it was great. But then every year the corporate team changed. It got worst and worst. When we got laid off, it was bad. They treated us like animals. Now I'm free.

I miss Value City. I used to buy my shoes there...Duck Head, Bandolino, Clarks at about 75% of what I pay for them in the department stores. The store near my house (northwest suburbs of Chicago ) was always clean and orderly...I find it hard to believe that other stores were dirty.

It shows the state of our nation that the biggest issue some of our citizens have is that a department store chain is closing.

But who am I to talk, I wept like a little girl when they closed J.J. Newberry's.

I am very sad about Value City closing it was my favorite place to shop when I would visit my daughter in Atlanta. All three stores that I would frequent are now closed. I would like to know where there are any that are still open in the south/

There aren't any in good old NC but I liked them everywhere I visited out of state I looked for them.
The closest dept. store they have is Goody's in Smithfield a 30 min. drive. That's why people loved Value City. In the neighborhood accessible to everyone. Except NC

Nothing close to vc in nc at all. If you want high $
in this economy you can find it in NC but no VC. I Liked VC everyone could find something they could
afford.

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Libra

If someone owes you money and you're beginning to think that you'll never get it back, this is an excellent day to chase them up. They may not cave in straightaway but at least you'll have had your say and done what you can. Watch out for a tendency to lose your temper, because although this could be quite dramatic if you're usually the soul of equanimity it could work against you if you become aggressive or unpleasant.
