Can anyone tell me if Scott Schafer was selling his own snacks at the Waseca football game Thursday evening? I'm involve with two youth associations, and we were told by the AD that we couldn't have concessions at the football game because it run by the Band Boosters. If he is selling his snacks and donating the money to the school, fine. But, if he is not, he shouldn't be telling anyone whether they can have a stand or not. Can anyone tell me if there is a policy addressing this? I just can't believe that he should be allowed to do this.

I am sure if he was selling things it was for the band. There is no way even he would be selling things for personal profit at the Bluejay football game

I am part of the Band Boosters, and I know that no funds came our way of the AD's "chex mix". We were wondering how he was able to do that ourselves. Maybe, he was given permission by the Superintendent, but, then why don't we see others with stands? I don't get it.

Ok, well maybe the funds went to the athletic department to decrease student fees. Don't try to make it look like he was selling stuff for personal gain.

Well, if he's giving the proceeds to the athletic department, why doesn't he let the youth associations participate, knowing that they eventually donate it all back anyway? Something is fishy here. If he gets paid for supervising the crowd, then, he's making money on the side with his private business, isn't that "double-dipping"? Do other school employees get the same opportunity to do this kind of thing, or just some priviledged few?

When I saw the headlines that he was selling personal items I took it to mean that he was selling colon cleansers or something of that nature. I am glad it was just snacks.

Wouldn't a phone call to the high school or athletic office offer more answers than asking anonymous questions and hiding behind your computer? If you have a question about something, do something that involves finding a straight answer and doesn't cause more unneeded drama.

ITS CHEX MIX AND IM ASSUMING HE DID NOT NET MILLIONS IN PROFITS. SO WHO CARES. IF HE PAID FOR THE GOODS HE SHOULD DECIDE WHERE THE PROFITS GO. JUST ANOTHER REASON WHY STUPID PEOPLE NEED THEIR OWN ISLAND. WE ARE AT WAR AND HAVE LOST THOUSANDS OF OUR SOLDIERS, THE COUNTRY IS AT AN ALL TIME LOW ECONOMICALLY, WE HAVE STARVING CHILDREN ON THE STREET AND WE HAVE PEOPLE WONDER WHERE MR. TEACHERS $12.15 PROFIT FROM CHEX MIX SALES WENT. WHO CARES. IF YOU WANTED TO SELL CHEX MIX AT THE FOOTBALL GAME YOU SHOULD HAVE STAYED IN COLLEGE, SMOKED LESS DOPE, AND MADE A LIFE FOR YOURSELF AND JUST MAYBE YOU WOULD BE LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE A CHEX BOOTH.
