A selfish woman who didn't understand her man or the horrors of war caused this... I guarantee it.

Sad...See what war does to people and no one knows. Could have been just a flash back. I know the 4th of July can turn a calm soldier into a freaked one thinking he is back at war. I've seen it. It should be manditory for soldiers to get counseling after going to war. Of course it's going to make people crazy...would me.

This is a tragedy not only for the soldier's family but the police officers and there families.
Worse of all is that all of this may have been avoided if he had gotten some help when he came home. Any one that is over there or in any war should have mandatory counseling. I mean any one else gets counseling when there is gun violence, all the school shootings lately they all get counseling, the police if they have to shoot someone get counseling. SO WHY is it that these men and woman who have to kill multiple people and see things that NO ONE should ever see don’t get the help they need? I DONT get it. They risk there lives for our freedoms BUT when they come home they are forgotten bout does that seem right??? Not everyone realizes that they are having problems dealin untill its too late. |

Im sure his wife had no idea that this was going to be the outcome when she called for help. What should she have done Nothing? |

Jeff , before you make statements like that you should know the people your talking about . His wife is a beautiful wonderful person , wife and mother . I am doing some research because this was my Daughter's best friends Dad ! We are devastated . There is no way to grieve . I spent the night just holding my daughter . No more sleep overs , no more sledding , no more classmate , no more best friend . They will be moving , and we have no closure . Words are a terrible thing to waste . One thing I hope that can come out of this is training for these officers to know the difference between threat , which was here , and psychological help . My Husband suffers from P.T.S.D. and combat stress , and in Dec. of '06 in AK I had to call the m.p.'s at 3 am , because my Husband did not know where he was , or what he was doing . I called for medical help , never dreaming of the outcome . They never instructed for me to hang up and call 911 . They just said they where on their way . Well they snuck up , and canvased the whole neighborhood , like some special ops . They got confrontational with him . While he wasn't even lucid . I stood there screaming as they beat my Husband up . All he needed was to be taken to the hospital before he hurt him self or someone . Could there be a diff. outcome here , I don't know . These where wonderful people . The thought of my Daughter's beautiful friend , who I would call " Little Tori Amos " , her Mom , their family to suffer this way , it is beyond shock and sorrow . The fact that Alexis his wife had to call and not say anything and hangup , meant that the situation was very unstable . She didn't even get a chance to ask for help , or get advice , or instruct to the police that he may have a gun . Also it could of been one of the older boys who called and was afraid to make any noise . There is a no hand gun law on Drum , but you are aloud to have a rifle . This is a horrible tragic situation for all involved , Dustin's family and for the Cop who had to end a life with deadly force . Though I have a feeling a person who can make a statement like that , these words , are prob. a waste on you .-Allison , Ft. Drum .

It's always the mans fault...
Regardless, these types of incidents will increase as women use LEOs as their 'ace in the hole' to win an argument. IMO, this mans fembot argument machine has no right to grieve his loss. He was just a good argument while he lasted. |
|
|
BTW, does the wonderful fembot have ANY bruises at all from this incident.... Was she even hospitalized from this soldiers brutality? Any broken bones or just broken pride...
My point is obvious. |

Just so u all know.......... This mans wife had asked several different people for help for her husband. Chaplins and soforth, Fort Drum and many other Post DONT Provide the right help for there soldiers, and until they do this situation could happen to any of us! His wife was always there for him, even when he diddnt want her to be. Unless u know the true story you shouldn't even be commenting on this mans death. She had been telling people for the last 3 months that he needed help. Now did he go to seek it himself, no, but most Soldiers wont, they have tooo much pride! I feel for this family. Iam I wish things diddn't have to turn out this way.

I completely agree with your point. You are OBVIOUSLY stupid. |

Jeff,
Please seek some kind of counseling yourself. Your obvious gender-biased, snide, subjective, cynical comments have no basis in either fact, or experience. Please don't bother posting anything further in this tasteless manner. My condolences to his family and the officers involved. |

The sad, yet ironic fact is... There is help out there, and for a matter of fact on Drum... and in the surrounding areas. I have seen families torn apart by PTSD and the truth is, it is a big deal. I saw my uncle go through many afflictions dealing with PTSD from his time spent in Vietnam... and he even had behavioral health from the VA hospital. If people think that there is no solution, they are wrong. It is tragic and devistating, but there are preventative measures in place for such things... The family and the person merely have to seek out. It is not mandatory because not all people are affected by it.
