that is great that if this is the same woman, that she ended up in the same hospital as the lady she beat says before. They should give that old woman a weapon, and let her into this womans room, and lock the door. Free shot time! payback. Of course, you'd have to tie down the husky woman to make it fair. Don't forget to press the weapon as hard as you can into her wound!

We don't need courts anymore, we just have the chelmsford cops shoot the suspects.

Why don't they release her name?
Why don't they tell you what actions she demonstrated to warrant the officer's shooting?
What is the purpose of them being in the same hospital?
If the person of interest is not in critical condition, why did they have to ship her to Boston?

If this is her, it's too bad he only shot her once. This woman is an animal with no regard for human life. Too bad more cops dont do this. People want cops only to shoot back after they have been shot. Don't put yourself in this position and you wont be shot. It is easy.

I think Officer Bourke should be given a commendation for his actions in temporarily removing this junkie cockroach from our midst. The pain he inflicted on her will most likely be the only punishment she receives before our criminal justice system begins coddling her. This tretment has already begun by releasing the names of Oficer Bourke and her previous(latest)victim.Good Luck Officer Bourke and Thank You.Stay safe.

She needs to be punished to the full extent of the law. You've got to have no heart and at the very least no basic human feelings to be able to beat an elderly person.
What is wrong with this society?

Officer Bourke should have shot her
twice--if that what it takes to get
another scumbag off the streets.

hmmm...I wonder how many people who defended her in the past postings changed their minds. I knew there was more to this story. Kudos to the Chelmsford police for catching this loser of a person.

She probably ended up at the same hospital because she was a gun shot victim. Most trauma cases like that would get shipped to Boston. I think that it was coincidence. Besides, the cockroach was probably under police guard so any contact was unlikely.

It'll be interesting to see the reaction to this new information. I wonder if the more vocal detractors of Officer Bourke still think he's trigger happy?

For all the people that want information on suspects and particulars of these incidents. You need to be patient. The Police and DA's Office can only release certain information regarding the investigation. The reason is because if the names of suspects or victims are released before interviews are complete, then it runs the risk of a witness that may be bias.
If a witness does or does not know the suspect, he or she may tell a differnt story to protect or implicate a suspect.
Also to all the people that were quick to judge this officer, I only hope that someday you need a police officer for some reason. maybe then you will appreciate what they do.
How the hell does anyone know what she was saying or doing when she was hidding in that bush? How does anyone know if she was telling the Officer she was going to shoot him and started reaching into her pocket?
You people that want this Officer head are disgusting human being that make me sick. I truely hope that some day you are in real need of a Police Officer. Not the BS minor vandalism crap, but a real need. Maybe then you will change your view, until then go to hell.

Millgirl and Wow,

Who is defending the shooter?

Who is berating the Officer for shooting?

None of the posts above do either of these.

If you are possibly referring to Kevin, maybe you should ask him to explain his comment a little better.

Don't be so quick to judge a comment until you understand the writer's meaning.

So...because the woman was wanted in a previous assault, this makes it acceptable that the cop shot her??? I have little doubt the woman was the one not following orders to come out but to fire your weapon at least 3 times and possibly kill her? You think that's ok?? Not me.

You must be her friend because you are all over these boards talking about how innocent she is. How would you know how she was acting? Were you there?

What a joke!!!! Why did it take 3 days before the news of her being a robbery suspect to surface? Seems to me like someone is being falsely accused to cover up for a trigger happy cop. From domestic violence call to a robbery suspect??? PLEASE!!!!!
