I agree that the burning ban should be lifted. With that said can we please not burn any more golf carts in the city limits.

I don't know why so many old-time Waterloons seem to be lost in the 50's. Burning yard waste in your back yard??? Please!! Especially when it's cleaner and easier to take your stuff to the city lake site. Just because it's legal doesn't make it smart or sensible.

Yes, and with a solid dozen cops buzzing waterloo at any given moment I'm sure they're doing it legally. Guess the MAJORITY still want to burn, and not everyone has a pickup to haul 50 bags of leaves ANTwhere every other day for two months. Get over yourself, and if your weakass family has "lots of allergies" you can't be opening your windows very much, can you? Wah.

Thanks for the encourgament - I'm going to go out and burn some leaves now!

I love the smell of burning leaves in the fall. Much the same way I love the smell of rain in the spring or the quietness of a moonlight night after a heavy snow.

People who b!tch about burning leaves are the same clowns who complain about peanut butter in school and think the speed limit should be lowered. Get over it.

I'm out of time - gotta go burn me some leaves and create a fall ambiance.

You're batshit crazy. You were picked on as a kid weren't you? Big and bad and tough calling the cops. You know, because that's the kind of stuff cops should respond to. I have an idea, MIND YOUR OWN FUCK!NG BUSINESS! You're lucky you're not my neighbor. You'd be fighting a losing battle. What's your address? I have some leaves I need to dump!

I think the jerk is the tiny minority who expects the whole world to bend over backwards swaddling his baby butt. This is a stupid argument. People should burn on burn days during burn hours, and the ladies who can't deal stay inside during that time. Burning randomly is rude and illegal, although working around these high winds should be tolerated a bit for safetys sake. Not everyone has the means to haul or pay to haul a yard full of leaves three or four times. cities that ban burning often offer free pickup, arranged though a composter, or set up one themselves, then sell the compost to cover costs. Red buds is seventy five cents a bag, city sells the biodegradable bags then picks them up for free, but we get to burn yard waste three days a week.

Hey smokey - please take note of my new Picture in my profile - you not only encouraged me to burn one pile I have enough leaves to let one smolder and start ANOTHER PILE!!!!

Our forefathers didn't fight in multiple world wars so when they returned home some jackoff neighbor would tell them they couldn't burn their own leaves!!!

Daily Horoscope for June 19

Leo

You need to vary your domestic routine slightly today to avoid feeling bored or restless, especially if the day threatens to be rather predictable. Think of ways to introduce a note of spontaneity into the proceedings, even if they're very minor, because they'll make you feel more lively and on the ball. If you're going shopping you'll be tempted by some impulse buys.
