Review: Detroit Style Pizzaria

Great pizza and sandwiches, along with fast and friendly service

For fark's sake, they can't even spell *pizzaria* right. If you like the typical party store style pizza that tastes like cardboard with a sauce based on the remnants of a used tampon, with cheese based on rat's milk curds, then you might like the Detroit Style Pizzaria in Waterford. The fact that the 'pizza joint owners' of this business have only ever operated a pizza joint inside a party store should have warned me off of trying it. Do youself a favor. Go to Square Lake and Woodward to My Cousin's New York Pizzeria and get a real slice of pizza.

If you like a good sub, go here. If you like pizza larger than really needed, then go here. I've never found the pizza to taste like cardboard, but I've had better.

Have had the stuff'd, Ummmm Goood..Big, Taste'y & filling... The 2 large special..another thumbs-up!
They do run great specials for sure.

Ack! This was the most grossest pizza and breadsticks I ever had. Anyone who likes this pizza has obviously had their tastebuds burnt off with sulphuric acid.

My Pizza sucks at Sq. Lake/Woodward, don't eat there, it's nasty...

This is your typical party store pizza, nothing special. They will fail just like the last crap pizza joint that was in that location. People from Michigan have no clue what a real farking pizza is.

I went there a week ago. I liked it. The people there were friendly, the place looked clean and the pizza was pretty good. It was better than most. I have had better. We just love Aldo's on 59 in VG's plaza If Detroit Style Pizza could borrow some of the Aldo expertise then I would be in HEAVEN! Aldo's is a 20 min drive. Detroit Style is much closer. But for sure I will order from Detroit Style again .

i like the calzone's . it was good and tasty.

I drive by there occasionally and thought of trying, but may pass now.

This place is fantastic. Pizza rolls are fabulous, pizzas are huge and tastey. Some of the best pizza I've had since moving from Chicago.

People, do not delude yourselves. Stop across the street at Speedway and get a microwave pizza if you want something with taste.

You should put a review about your sex life on Kink.com instead of reviewing about a really good pizza shop.

Aww, poor wittle girl. Did your wittle friends get their feelings hurt with such a negative review. Obviously you must enjoy the taste of a used bloody tampoon too if you enjoy the crap that they call pizza at this place.

Just around the corner from DSP on Cass Lake rd. A much better selection of food, and the pizza won't make you crap your pants for three days. Their subs will fill you up for $5, and the wings are top notch.

Detroit Style Pizza did an amazing job catering our party. Not only was the service friendly and reliable, the food arrived on time and was perfectly proportioned to accommodate our quests. We had just the right amount of leftovers to enjoy for ourselves. All 40 of our quests found the food to be amazing and requested their information for future gatherings. Highly recommended!!!

I ate there this past week for the first time, getting a meatball sub for lunch. By the end of the day I was crapping myself so bad I almost went to the ER. I also saw one of the cooks picking his nose, the squat italian guido with the fake gold necklace.

Actually, My Cousin's New York Pizzeria is quite shady. Detroit Style is good, though yes, I have had better. They're friendly and will cater to what you would like. If you give them suggestions, they will take them and improve upon them. They're cheap and filling.

I recommend.
