Blame the former owners for running a terrible campground that happened to be on a beautiful lake. They are to blame for packing people in and having very few rules. I don't blame the people who own property on this lake for not liking the campground. I feel bad for Leigh at the Marina for losing all that business. Try renting a house for a couple of weeks like I do. You can still enjoy kezar!

Joisy? What Exit? Stay there. The people I camped with for years at Kezar were decent, hard working people who weren't doctors, some sick**s author, or loaded with daddy's money and therefore didn't have two grand a week to drop on a "house". Because of that, we shared a tremendous respect for the lake. And for the record, Tom and his family ran a tight ship. I saw more than one rowdy camper shown the gate. And for your statement "you can still enjoy Kezar!": No, no we can't. Not like we had come to know it, not like we had enjoyed it for years. You'll probably never understand. It's all gone because of one wealthy man's greed. Enjoy your house. Unless of course, Mr. King takes a fancy to that, too.

Boy most of you guys are pretty hard on SK! Nobody seems to mention or give him and his family credit for what they give back to the Lovell and surrounding communities. The Town of Lovell is lucky to have them. Almost everything that I've just read above is untrue. Goes to show you how much BS there is out there. It's pretty each to trash talk someone when you don't know what the ***** you're talking about.

Boy, good thing you posted. You must know an awful lot about Lovell in Dodge City, KS. Do the math Einstein: Kezar Lake had say 120 campsites mostly full for ten weeks a year. That's 1200 families a year buying food at the Center Lovell Market, gas at The Wicked Good Store, etc. I'm sure they love the guy, if they're still in business, that is.

It is a shame that the campground was shut down, not just for us tourists that loved it so much, but for the revenue that the town lost. I wonder if the wicked good store is still open????
