Dunham Farm housing plan is no-go

Much to the relief of neighbors, the Dunham Farm active adult community on Candlewood Mountain in New Milford is no longer a looming prospect.

Much to the relief of neighbors, the Dunham Farm active adult community on Candlewood Mountain in New Milford is no longer a looming prospect.

We'll see how relieved the neighbors are when there are 150 new homes built on the property; each with 2 students to help fill up our school system. The active adult community was the highest and best use of this property adding to the tax base without adding to the school system

Think about all of the construction jobs that the Dunham farm would have created. Which would have been a big help during this current economic slow down. Think about the property taxes generated by this project without adding one child to the schools.
The town blew it. The Liberal freaks won again and now the rest of us will pay through the nose.

They wouldn't have sold a unit in the current economy. They'd still be building the road up the mountain destroying everything in it's path.

That road will be built someday, but the benefit to the town will be gone!
