Bull! Consignment Orignal's split is no longer 50/50, but 60/40. Plus they take the retail price tag and mark it in half. Not much left for the customer who keeps these consignment alive. Example: A ($50.) braclet marked down instantly to ($25.) include 3 separate charms valued at ($25) ea. are not sold separately, but attached to the braclet. A (62.50)sale. You get only ($25.)Not to great. Plus, you better pickup your consignment items before 30 days when marked down in half again. Same sale is only worth ($12.50) now. So,($125.) worth of belongs and after 30 days you end up with ($12.50) What a RIPOFF! I'd like to open a consentment with a 70/30 split. Clients of course get the 70%. That would put the greedy owner out of business, wouldn't you say?

Wait a minute! I made a mistake! The charms were not sold separately, but put onto the braclet which sold for ($25.) You make a profit of ($12.50)from ($125.) worth of stuff. I had figured ($12.50) ea for the charms when the charms were not even priced.

Consignment Originals has been doing the 60/40 split with 40 % to the person consigning their stuff for several years. I find their employees condescending, refusing things that are in good shape - then I walk the store and see the junk on the racks and wonder why this is so... I tried to pick up my stuff before the date it was to be donated to charity and I couldn't find the clothes... so was if lousy bookkeeping or shoplifting. Anyway I agree, it isn't worth it for the small amount you get for the items that do sell. If you donate your items to charity yourself, at least you get a small tax write off if you itemize.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Taurus

Keep calm! Your emotions are becoming increasingly heightened and intense today. As a result, you're likely to take things much more seriously than usual. That's wonderful if you're involved in a hot and heavy encounter with Mr or Ms Right, but it won't be such good news if you go overboard about silly trifles. If you're doing some last-minute shopping you'll want to be as extravagant as your budget allows. Or is it a case of Budget...? What budget?
