Superintendent Suzanne Lukas Keeps Diploma From Bonny Eagle H.S. Student

This was the headline on one of the news items I read on CNN.com . I live in Los Angeles, CA. I am appalled and revolted by the show of power by School District #6 Superintendent Suzanne Lukas to publicly humiliate a young graduating teen for a perfectly normal boyish spontaneous gesture on stage to his friends and family. If the teenager showed slightly faulty judgment, I think the adult Ms Lukas showed extremely poor judgment in denying him his diploma, and shocking the entire community, even as far as California!

This is a show of power, which is all too common with schools. Instead of being a bit tolerant of an elated teenager, she punishes him publicly. Humiliation is hard on anyone, but on a male, and a teenager, it is sadistic. If she cannot show a bit of tolerance on the ebullience of a young person, how can she be entrusted with the task of educating so many young people. Shame on Suzanne Lukas. I hope the local community writes in their comments, esp to her. Her email is: suzanne_lukas@sad6.k12.me.us
The High School is Bonny Eagle High School, and their staff and principal can be reached at: bschultz@sad6.k12.me.us, lnapolitano@sad6.k12.me.us, kharrington@sad6.k12.me.us, mlegage@sad6.k12.me.us

I am also appalled at the superintendents behavior, she is so worried about all of the kids behavior maybe she should take a step back and look at her own. Have you ever seen Matilda? My goodness!! Let the young adults have fun on thier day, and by god when did it become illegal in this country to bow and blow your mother a kiss? For peats sake, I hope that the community of Standish is outraged that a teenagers life is being kept from him, by some woman who calls herself a superintendent. What a joke.
I agree with Minerva.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Cancer

Be careful today Cancer, because your emotions could cloud certain issues as they often to and leave you feeling confused. You should be especially wary of believing what you want to believe, rather than believing the evidence in front of your eyes. It's easy to kid yourself now about someone's motives or reliability, even if deep down you know that you're telling yourself a load of old twaddle.
