CYS/Court Corruption - Support Group

I should have added that CPS can only make recommendations to the court. Ultimately, it is the Judge that makes the decision and it is highly influenced on a combination of what he hears from the CPS's attorney, CPS themselves and the Guardian Ad Litem. Naturally his own observations come into play as well.

CPS cannot promise you anything because they do not have the authority to make decisions.

Don't misconstrue the above to mean that CPS does not have a huge impact on what is presented to the judge because they do.

Lastly, all of the above parties work together. Yet, they do not always agree on how and when cases are disposed. Meaning that, you need to satisfy all three entities before you can reach a point where the case would be resolved in your favor.

I have been scanning some posts and see others who have been wrongfully accused. Is there anyway to supply me with more info (Email addresses, etc) to discuss offline?

If you can prove it, your attorney is in a lot of trouble, they have an obligation to you as your attorney to provide the best legal counsel. If they did nothing for you about the lies, you have the right to repor that attorney to the the pennsylvania board that reviews attorneys. Don't sit back and take it.

If so do you believe it could be a neighbor reporting them? It sounds like it could be someone that doesn't like kids or some old coot that maybe saw their dog piss on their rose bushes.
Do you think they should stop this reporting where you get to remain anonymous for calling in child abuses charges on people. Because that is where all of it starts, with 1 phone call. How can you defend yourself against an accuser when you don't know who they are. May be it's an exes new spouse, maybe a co-worker that you got a promotion ahead of, maybe it was just a person you looked crosswise at.Does anyone investigate these callers?

No it wasn't a neighbor.

Three of them were actually a result of failure to provide medical excuses to the school district. As you probably know, medical deductibles for private insurance can be quite costly when a child has a routine illness. Until deductibles are met office visits can be beyond the means of lower income families.

Moreover, it is absurd to take a child that is running a low grade fever to a physician unless it lingers or the child is in distress. One of them is an asthmatic child. As everyone knows this condition is expected to be treated at home. Unless the child does not respond to the home treatments.

These three families were unable to obtain medical excuses and they refused intervention from CYS partner called Try Again Homes. A organisation that does literally nothing but suck community funds and exposes and mixes children without behavioral problems with ones that do. Amazingly another child hadn't attended school for half the year but agreed to particpate TRY AGAIN HOMES progams and field trips. It was such a success that she is now in the family way at barely 15 and still isn't attending school.

One other family was reported after a very public outdoor family arguement with an intoxicated Aunt who has a well known alcohol problem. Who then vindictively made a report in retaliation while inebriated. We know this to be true because the Aunt proudly came back and announced what she had done.

The last was over a chronically ill child with several documented debilitating and worsening disabilies that were, and continue to be treated by several highly specialized clinicins at Children Hospital. Years of extensive documention was denied admission into the legal court record. All of which supported the existance of the conditions and adherence to all treatment plans by these physcians to manage and minimize the effects of these disabilities. Worse, the physicians were so outraged after being informed of this egregious persecution of the family. the obtained clearance from the hospital legal department and volutarily went attended a hearing. Where they were denied the oppotunity to have their opinions become part of the permanent legal record.

It is no wonder our schools are unable to control bullies when they are biggest bullies of our children.

One of the most community and school active families have simply pulled their children out and they are now home schooled. Furthermore, several others close by are going to opt for cyber school rather than deal with the school and risk dealing with harrassment and intrustion by CYS.

I should have added that these children were not removed from the homes. These are the lucky families ........ sort of.

They were placed into the CYS system and court ordered to complete expensive, extensive, repetative, unneccessary mental and physical evalutions by the same specific providers that are always used by CYS and the Courts.


Our state funded insurance programs are paying out hundreds of thousands of dollars for families that are eligible for these programs. They are also picking up the tab for those with private insurance that refuse to cover ridiculous claims for court orderd evaluations for which there is not one iota of evidence to suggest that they should be completed.

The parents were also forced to turn over their own private physical and mental health records and undergo the same evaluations as the children.

Let us not forget the unannounced home visits that can and do take place at any time of the day. They seem to favor right after school or dinner time. Which is often the most chaotic time for families with children. This is the best time for a house to be messy.

Regardless, of why you have been accepted for services by CYS. Everyone must follow the same procedures that have been set in place. There is little to no deviation from the script for parents accused of sexual abuse to those with truancy issues.

This isn't even the half of it. Keep in mind the majority of this funding comes directely from the Dept of Health and Human Services. That means it is being funnelled out of our Social Security funds.

While I am on my monthly soapbox. Please allow me again to remind everyone that the Guardian Ad Litem is a maggot.

I am not advising anyone, nor can I, since I am not an attorney, thus I am unable to provide legal advice.

Nevertheless, I can inform you. Particularily those of you with older children That the children themselves can request another GAL to be appointed.

You really have to scrape the bottom of the rubbish bin to find one worse than Kosevar.

My husband and I recently split up this year
because of reoccurring abuse, I filed a pfa against him. We
have three children together a little girl 8years, two boys
5 and 4 years, our daughter has ADHD and Bi-polar as well as
OCD, which I fought for years to get her help for. CYS had
been in our life before due to school interference, because
of my daughters mental health issues, and unfounded charges.
When CYS showed up out of the blue after visiting our
daughter at school without our knowledge, as I opened the
door she slammed it against the wall and almost hit out then
4 year old in the head with the door, she proceeded to
threaten us with loosing our kids, and complained about the
disorganization of our house, saying we as adults drank too
much pop, and we couldn't have our dog in the house during
the winter as he smelled like a wet dog, also wanted sexual
testing done on our children, there wasn't any accusations
about abuse sexual or otherwise. Well our case
was closed a few months later, then over memorial weekend
a man broke into my home and was naked trying to molest my
then seven year old daughter, he then assaulted me, I have
two witness to these events, I shot him in the groin, police
called it self defense, then the ambulance took me and my
daughter to mon valley hospital to make sure she hadn't been
raped. The hospital called CYS and they were once again in
my life. The case worker at the time, came to my house
unannounced, barged in, threatened to take the kids if I
didn't cooperate and proceeded to question my daughter about
the events, leaving my daughter in tears. She then made me
strip down to my bra and underwear to show her each and
every one of my tattoos and piercings, calling me a cult
leader and threatening me with removal of my children. I
called her supervisor and they took her from my case and
replaced her with a helpful case worker, after 2months of
the new caseworker they fired her
and before I was given a new one I received papers for a
court hearing where they were attempting to steal my
children from me and give them to their abusive father. The
case workers name on the report had never seen nor spoken to
me, my husband or our children at any point, they also tried
to over throw the pfa. At the hearing (Dec 1, 2009) which
occurred a week after I got the papers and had no time to
get a lawyer, the magistrate couldn't try the case because
he's the attorney of the man I shot. So the case had to go
to another judge, well cys was enraged and got the new
hearing scheduled for Dec 10th. No one legal wise is willing
to help me. CYS counseled my husband to call legal aid for
the hearing, leaving me without even legal aid help.
If you can help me in anyway I would be most appreciative,
my children are my life, I would do ANYTHING for them, I
have many character witnesses as well as a few pastors

That wouldn't be Jennifer Kita would it? She is trying to steal my three children and give them to their father who has a pfa against him for abuse to our children! She has never spoken to me or my children at all. The day I met her at the court hearing she told me to say goodbye to my kids cause if it's up to her I'll never see them again. My hearing had to be rescheduled due to the magistrate not being able to try my case because of conflict of interest.

I know this is mostly adults commenting on here but, I'm in custody of Washington county cys. I have been since about age 6, I'm going to be 17 in a 2 weeks. I've been in countless group homes and foster homes, adoption isn't an option because of my age no one wants a teenager, I'd really like to be emancipated because what's the difference of me being in a group home for a year or living with a friend whose mother is willing to take me in but can't become a foster parent due to some really old problems plus I'm engaged to her son so that would make us related. I do have a cutting problem but I haven't cutt for about 2 months and every Sunday I go to a support group for it. I haven't even had the urge to cutt since i've been with my fiance, emancipation is legal in pa, they usually only use it if you're pregnant or married but the can do it even if you're not. I don't want to get pregnant just to get out of custody and mess up me going to college, but I can't get married unless cys aproves it. Which they won't cause they know I then can get emancipated easier. My lawyer doesn't help either cause he's appointed through CYS. If there is anyone that can help in anyway please email me kdarlin287@aol.com if someone would just adopt/ do gaurdianship of me then sign the papers for me to be emancipated that would be the easiest way. But yes CYS does a crap job exspecially with the kids.

You are a liar. I was in your home when the CYS person came there. She did not make you take off your clothes. You had just gotten a new tattoo and you showed her that. You have a tattoo on your back, dummy. You even told her where you got the tatto. She never said you were in a cult. Your house was dirty and it smelled and both you and I know that much. You were not sending your kid to school either. That caseworker was very nice to you both times, she did nothing wrong. You and I know the truth and you are not telling the whole thing.

I don't know who you are but there was only two other adults other than me and my children here when that CYS lady came. My two best friends, and your not one of them cause they know the 'truth' they saw and heard it. My house did not smell, my dog smelled like a wet dog and she went ballistic about that. Dirty? Negative, disorganized? Very. As I read your comment I realized that you must be another so called 'helpful neighbor' in my town, as you have some details but not the facts. I have every visit from her recorded thanks to a pocket recorder I started to carry after her first impromptu visit. I know it won't be allowed in court, but it is still proof enough for a case against her, according to a lawyer I've been in contact with regarding all this CYS nonsense. CYS is nothing but a moneymaker for the city. I am located in Pennsylvania and am having a hell of a time with CYS. However I am the one with the children. My babies mom is a drug addict and a repeat offender of breaking the law. CYS got involved due to her actions. The children were taken from her and given to me, even my step son who is not biologically mine was given to me. Since this happened I have gone to a lawyer to get my biological son, howver I have been waiting for CYS to give me my step son so I do not have to go to a lawyer. I figure there has to be a time sooner or later when they say enough is enough and this girl is not getting her act together and just give me the child. I have had him for almost a year taking them to see the mother once a week for supervised visits. But the funny thing is they keep giving her chances, no matter the circumstatnces or no matter how many urines she fails, they keep the poor child in the system and do not allow him to move his life along with me and his brother. I have been his father since he was 2months old. His father is in jail and his mother is a drug addict. We are now on our 3rd case worker and rthere is no sign that they will be out of our life anytime soon. Mind I myself have a full time state job, I live in a house on over an acre in the suburbs, and own real estate. Still they refuse to "give" me the child and say I must go to a lawyer to legally get him, CYS says they do not give away other peoples children. However if I was not in the picture this child would have been bouncing around from family to family until CYS figured out what to do with his drug addict mother...Thank GOD for me or this child would be lost. It frustrates me because I have to deal with taking these kids to the court house to see there mother when she feels like showing up once a week and have to deal with once a month visits to my house from CYS. They are so on the mother side it makes me sick. Sometimes I wonder are they in it for the child or to make the moter happy. Being a single father with these two children is hard enough, however me and my two sons are happy and better off without there disfunctional mother. Instead of ending this year long nightmare with outsiders invading me and my families life they will continue to be a part of it as long as they can. CYS told me flat out that if I want them out of my life to go to a lawyer to get custody of my step son. However I feel that if they have seen how bad of a mothershe is and how good of a father I am why cant they give him to. They have the authority to take children but not to assign children to the correct parent. Once again if I did not exist they would be shuffling this poor child around until his mother gets her $hit together. Which could take years...when does CYS draw the line...The never will until there funding runs out. But as long as they have cases to work there funding will not run out, which is why I am still being harrassed by these people. The goal of CYS is not to help children but to get a paycheck. As long as there getting paid they will continue to harrass families and try to tell people how to raise there children. Now granted they did step in and take the children from her...which was what they are here to do. And that was the right move. But get on with it, she has not shaped up in almost a year and it is time to say you know what enough is enough this guy is obviously taking care of these kids and is a good father she has had her chances...close the case and stop making money at my families expense!!

This may not be much help, but CYS must give you the name address and phone number of where your children are BY LAW. I know because i had been a foster parent for twenty years . I am just now finding out how corrupt the case workers and their supervisiors are.I am just about to enter into a fight to the death with them and they need to be afraid, because after 20 years I know a good bit of the system. The only way that they do not need to tell you where your children are is if they have some proof that you would run with them.
