Looking for victims of Washington County CYS

I am looking for anybody who has become a victim of the unethical practices of Washington County Pa CYS.

I'm also looking for the ex caseworker who posted in 2006 about giving information.

yes I had a bad problem with mary lo closner she took my life and turned it into shambles I did get two of my children back but I lost my 3rd son to his father any questions please if I can help in any way there is more to the story I will help

molinaro, We grandparents have been victims of CYS, FAMILY/JUVENILE COURTS in Washington County for the past two years. I sent you an email two weeks ago, how come you did not reply? Are you the Christy Molinaro who left an email address on earlier postings.

I am having a lot of trouble with washington county cys. They do not respond to much of anything. They open and close cases without doing a thorough investigation. The children are the ones are going to suffer in the long run. They are not investigating allegations of abuse (physical and verbal) and they are not doing anything about truancy. My children have missed more school than they have attended in the past several years. They live in a filth hole, dont get regular meals, are left at home alone late at night without parental supervision, don't do homework, they dont attend school, have no parental guidance and are promiscuous. Who is going to take responsibility?! Apparrently not CYS and not the school either! Where do I go from here?

i got court papers that prove a cys worker lied under oath last month.she's one of the higher ups. talk to me.

Hi Getting pissed off, sounds like you have the same problems that I have. 3 grandchildren being abused, neglected and endangered, I gave CYS all the proof like, police incident reports from two police stations, the Mother's choice of shacking up with Cokeheads and Heroin addicts, the cokehead physically and emotionally abusing the kids, the filthy house, the one girl who is 13 passing herself of as 16 yr. old on myspace and saying she is horny, Kids left alone, sometimes with no food. Yet CYS says theres nothing wrong. Because the Mother's attorney is the bald-headed scumbag who is also the Child Advocate for CYS. Rumour has it she is paying him with sexual favors. But my advice to you is you can write to the School Board, with a copy of your letter to the Principal and threaten to sue. But do it all in writing and keep copies for yourself. Start there. Force the school to take action. Dont you know how to check your kids attendance at school on the Internet.

Hi sad grandma. Thank you for the information. It sounds like your case is intense as ours. Its so frustrating that no one seems to listen or even care. It seems like FACTS on paper don't even seem to get anyone to bat an eye. Yes, we do keep track of the childrens attendance records online. The beauty of this situation is that the school has actually gone back and altered records... changing unexcused absences to excused. We are unable to get a straight answer from the school as to how this happens. Unfortunatly, the children have a family member on the opposite side of the family who is an attorney who works at a large lawfirm in pittsburgh.( this attorney also has a previous criminal record which has been expunged) who we feel is pulling strings to get the parent in which they reside with out of trouble. Brick walls are all we seem to hit. Why is CYS ignoring police records that you have? Makes no sense to me. Sounds like the mother has some real 'class'. Drugs, paying with sexual favors, abuse. What more does a person have to do to get CYS to take action???

its a fact that cys only interfers wiyh famlies, that havent done anything wrong. they are corrupt. and i cant figure out how to fight them . they lie and they all know each other, sometimes it gets overwhelming.the list of people that the harrass goes on and on. good luck to any good family that gets involved with washington co. cys.

Change starts with the newspaper. If anyone wants to help out with a story on CYS' perceived corruption contact me at zkt5000@psu.edu. The quicker this topic is exposed to the public the faster it may be fixed.

have alot to say but scared to death because our nightmare is about to end, but after a long hard battle with cys and hearings i must say my prayer has been answered. my advice to all of you is get an attorney,keep your scheduled visits with your children, make calls to the wash. co. commissioners, they help get funding for the agency, let them know what is going on. You can also contact the american civil liberties union in pitts. they will give you the advice you need if you feel your rights have been violated. Make continuous calls to your caseworkers, don't miss a court date, and by all means PRAY TO GOD! I feel all of your pain, but again, I can't say much for now. Attorneys are costly, but seek help from legal aide,if you are within their guidelines. there is also a group that is called Fathers for Justice in most areas that will listen and support you if need be, and it isn't just for fathers. Hope some of this helps. I was told once that cys supervisors and caseworkers don't like a challenge but GIVE them one ! Let's see, you want a government agency to go against the law that is written by your elected officals. CYS can only do what the law states they can do and if the children do not tell the TRUTH about what is happening in their home then how is CYS supposed to help. The problems is that the kids do not tell the whole truth or lie to the caseworker so how is the caseworker supposed to find out. Relying on family members who hate the parents is not a good start. Do you know how many calls CYS gets from people who are mad at their neighbors, friends or family members, co workers and lie to CYS. Do you know how many bogus cases that CYS goes out on daily to find out it is not true. Oh and by the way if CYS does go out and does not see the abuse how are they supposed to know if the kids cannot talk or will not talk about it. CYS are not mind readers. If you are a family member that knows of abuse or neglect in your family then YOU take action, you can file a court order yourself to get custody of the children. But don't blame CYS because you lost your kids because you were neglectful or abusive and now you feel bad. You should not have done it in the first place. And to those of you who are lying on this site because you feel as no one should tell you how to raise your kids, shame on you for losing them in the first place. CYS has to abide by the law that is written, so read and you will see how CYS hands are tied.

Do you have any links to the statistics for all the things that cys is doing for the children they have in their custody. If cys is doing wrong then yes we can blame them for what they are doing WRONG. I have seen in most of your posts that you blame the parents for everything. You are the one that should be ashamed especially for your lack of compassion for others. You sound like you work for this agency called cys.

Read the law. But noone ever thanks CYS when they get children out of abusive homes, or when a sexual predator is put into jail. Who do you think gets called when a child tells a doctor, lawyer, nurse, teacher, neighbor or a friend that they are being abused, used, and/or neglected. What about those stories when men are put into jail for sexually abusing their or someones child. All the glory goes to the prosecutors and police, but CYS was there from the beginning of the case to the end of the case. But noone understands or knows that. But if something happens to a child or you know that a child is being abused are you going to look the other way or are you going to call CYS?
