Found this website and it is dedicated solely to Skip Maccarone. Does anyone know if anyone is going to run against Skip this year?

Skip is not that bright a guy but he's in with the "clan". We need new blood to break up the little "mafia" that exists in Shelby Twp. He has done nothing but waster the taxpayers dollars on a poorly designed downtown and the payoff of numerous lawsuits caused by the Twp employees.

I sure hope someone is running against him! Hopefully we can get a true Republican in as Township Supervisor. If anyone knows please pass the information along.

To bad the rumor has it that he wants to cut the fire department in half and contract the police to the county.

If that is true I sure hope he doesn't get elected. Shelby is a little to high end and large to have volunteers running to fires and only two deputies patrolling. Heck the county can't even keep the 911 phones ringing.

Say it ain't so Ricky. Don't make me vote for Skip because you come from the school of Viar.

Okay, so we know the rumor about the police/fire department is NOT true. Skip is circulating it to deviate from the truth. However, we have heard that if re-elected Skip, in order to solve the $4.5 million township deficit (that he created) will (in his word) "maximize the township's millage potential."

In other words, Skip wants to raise the millage we all pay. So, yes, Skip will raise our taxes. Watch your wallet Shelby...

We cannot afford to have four more years of spending by this Supervisor. At the rate we are going he will have us in receivership in The year 2011. He has no regared for your hard earned tax dollars. My God have you not suffered enough.

SKippy has GOT to go! Who would have ever dreamed a guy like him could do so much damage to our township in such a short time. We definitely need change in the Supervisor's chair so GET OUT AND VOTE. We cannot afford to give Skip four more years - unless we want higher taxes/millages/fees out of our pockets.

We need a true Republican, a true conservative and someone who will respect the voice and ideas of the people. Skip ain't the guy, so let's tell him so on August 5th.

I like Skip. He's honest and professional. I think we have come along way with his leadership and contacts.

Dick-Supervisor-Wanna-Be worries me. Outsourcing police and fire? Come on people. Don't just listen to SOME of the professional's....Our community is strong financial, has a low tax base, and is a great place to live, work and raise a family. Don't throw it all away over scheming and funny numbers.

Interesting how Skip's cronies are talking about outsourcing the fire and police. We have heard that Skip is actually the person who wants to outsource EMS to a third party carrier. That would not be good. Obviously he is desperate to raise money to still build his campus, and wants to undercut the EMS services for the township.
Look out residents, Maccarone re-election=higher taxes!

Interesting to see so many posts from people who do not live in Shelby. I wish we had a debate among the candidates for supervisor so we could see real positions instead of anonymous attacks.

It's not that Skip is deceetful. He honestly believes raising taxes to match Warren and Sterling Heights is what's best for the citizens. He is a tyrant because he thinks he knows best. A person like this is more likely to farm out services and raise taxes. A person who truely listens to the citizens would not do this. A lot of the problem we have is with the police chief and Judge Shepherd, neither is willing to downsize thier desired square feet for a building. The police would go from 7000 square feet to over 59000 square feet, that is an 850%increase in space. The court only wants a 300% increase in space. I want 2 or three proposals placed on a ballet, one including no bond and have a chance to vote on it as if I lived in a democracy.
The guy is not evil, he is just arrogant.

The little man is about to become even smaller in the minds of Shelby Township voters. I can't wait to wave bye-bye to Skip, with a BIG smile on my face. I can hear the fat lady warming up....can you?

How can he plan to keep spending when we already know the general fund is in trouble.
We need some new blood and get away from the good 'ol boys club.
We need someone who will work for the good of the homeowners/taxpayers and will listen to what we have to say. Skip acts like he's listening but he really doesn't give a damn what you think. he already has his agends. I'm voting for Richard Stathakis tomorrow.
