Washington Height's Royal Playboys of the early 80's are legendary and inflicted fear in the hearts of both friends and foe. From their street gun battles around Stitt JHS and Gdubs to their bloody climactic rumble against their arch-enemies the ball busters (by Columbia Presbyterian). Among their ranks were Little Jose, Crazy Lenny, Spanky, Crazy Mike, White Boy Bobby, Bert, Mr. Mor, Tron, Crazy Leo, Manny and others. They had rooftoop hideouts for weapons and escape routes along the cliffsides of highbridge park and edgecombe to flee the arrival of the dt's after rumbles. They reigned terror in those years. Their unbridled youth was a harbinger of darker days, with many of them progressing to criminal enterprises (most notably the wild cowboys). While we do not glorify or romantacize their lifestyle, their unbridled youth and lawlessness impacted us all. Otherwise we would not be talking about them nearly 30 years later. Like you Milton, I was untouchable and ironically growing up in the heights was alot easier due to that untouchable status. I can look back decades later, alive and well because I never had to get involved and was never messed with. Unfortunate for those young kids with such wild youthful indiscretion we still remember as the Playboys, those gone and those present in the shadows.

According to the book lenin told him to go f himself when he tried to extort him for money. I believe calderon was found dead riddled with bullets again according to the book.

My man you sound like someone who heard the story from someone who heard the story from someone who heard the story from someone who wasn't there. I actually took a ricochet from a bullet fired from one of Calderon's flunkies that night. I clearly remember them coming, and them running from a barrage of bullets, never, ever to return. And if you want to know something it wasn't even about drugs, or turf, but about something completely unrelated. I am not even sure you know how to read, because even the book full of made up shit sounds more credible than the bullshit you are writing. Holla at me if you disagree. Big T you know what is, my brother.

I been quiet about this but F it!! Listen,, for ANYONE to try to even think that some "prietos" from Harlem had anything on the Cowboys or any of the OG crack and cocaine kings from Washington Heights (DOMINICANS) is not only retarded but not even factually possible!!! For one,, EVERYONE knows that Yayo (Based Balls) is the OG King of Crack.. It's DOCUMENTED!!! PURE FACT!! He was the mastermind behind one,if not the biggest and most organized crack originations of the 80's.. FACT. You have doubts? google this- "Santiago Luis Polanco Rodríguez" (yayo).. 2nd,, Lenny and his crew (cowboys) are the direct decendents of THE BASED BALLS ORGANIZATION.. FACT!!! We all know all the havoc they caused in the streets, no need for me to review it all.. You already know. 3rd,, The cartels (Colombians)during this period WOULD HAVE NEVER DONE ANY BUSINESS WITH NEGROS.. NEVER!!!! EVER!!!! The only way Alpo, Amp and the rest of the
"PRIETOS" from Harlem could ONLY get hit off with work was via a LATINO! Don't be stupid.. Washington Hts at that period was the central of KILO DISTRIBUTION in NY..The cartels did HUGE business with the Dominicans in the 80's.. PERIOD!! And finally. Yayo, the cowboys and countless other Dominican crews went everywhere from Harlem, Bronx,Brooklyn and out of State and made Millions, took over entire blocks, killed, mamed, and controlled whole hoods. NO PRIETOS EVER CAME TO OUR HOODS AND WAS ABLE TO DO THAT!! EVER!!WE WENT TO YOUR BLACK HOODS AND TOOK THEM OVER!! MADE MILLIONS AND LEFT YOUR HOODS DESTROYED!!! These are all facts.. I'm done!
Dam you historian- what can I say after you explained it that way!

Hey whats the deal is lou from 171 and Haven -Everyone's feelings on the matter are interesting.
Lace is my Friend he was with me in Mr. Zenos class in PS 173. I Remember M. Tex as a cool brother, as well as his older brother whom I remember was a person to be respected and some other brothers from around the way. In any case I wish to be able to say hello to Victor (Ulisses) Mena aka Dominican Chino - we continued together to IS233. He was a true friend - I dont know how the hell, but those days were the best - growing up in the heights. I guess we were all free spirits running with the wind, not really caring or knownig what life is really about. Sorry for everyone that past away and the pain it cost their families and friends. Wish everyone well.

Daily Horoscope for May 18

Aquarius

Watch out if you're going shopping, because you'll be tempted to splash out on impulse buys. This doesn't matter so much if you're feeling flush, but it could cause problems if you're supposed to be counting every penny. Whatever the state of your finances, you may buy items you don't need and possibly even won't like when you look at them again tomorrow.
