The Justice Department ordered Florida’s elections division to halt a systematic effort to find and purge the state’s voter rolls of noncitizen voters.

Florida’s effort appears to violate both the 1965 Voting Rights Act, which protects minorities, and the 1993 National Voter Registration Act – which governs voter purges – T. Christian Herren Jr., the Justice Department’s lead civil rights lawyer, wrote in a detailed two-page letter sent late Thursday night

About 58 percent of those flagged as potential noncitizens are Hispanics, Florida’s largest ethnic immigrant population, a Miami Herald analysis found. Hispanics make up 13 percent of the overall 11.3 million active registered voters.

It would seem to me that an individual voting who is not legally allowed to vote is cheating. I do not quite understand the position on the left that we should just let anybody vote regardless of their status. Here is a good idea for you that would fix all the problems; if you have a job, have retired and are on social security or are the spouse of a retiree you get to vote in any election twice. If you do not meet the above criteria you get to vote once. Stay at home moms or dads would also qualify as long as their spouse works and pays taxes.

I know.I have friends who were told they couldnt vote because they are illegal despite the fact they were born in CHICAGO and KANSAS CITY.If it can be proven that these lists are top heavy with DEMOCRATS THE ELDERLY and MINORITES the state is violating laws.

Only US citizens can vote in Federal Elections, is that not the case. Come in through the front door to this country. Cheating would be someone voting who is ineligible, would it not. We have to have a ID to purchase a glass of wine, retrive luggage at the airport, buy sinus med, cross the border, board a plane, to drive, so many reasons, etc... it is time to have a ID to vote as well, I consider it a honor and a privilege to be a proud citizen of the USA, wear it like a badge of honor it is, and show my ID if asked.

Friends, do they have the proper ID and papers or not? Because if they did, they can vote. I know no one who has ever had a problem voting, what worries me is they don't ask for ID in Illinois to vote, just your name.

Yes in Chicago RahmE can't get control of the gang problem, it has gotten worse since he became the mayor they are saying. But it is on the Southside. The rest of Chicago does not go near the gang banger area, they are killing each other and innocent including kids who get caught in the crossfire. I guess that is what happens when you don't have parents to love and guide you. They have a huge problem with attendance at the CPS, if they won't even go to school, what then... their parents can vote for a Democrat though for every need not, too bad they can't be responsible, it is a total failure of the family there ...

In ohio republicans locked several attempts to make paper results from their electronic voting machines. Why, ecause without paper results you cant RECOUNT OR VERIFY...you have to trust what the computer tells you!

Wisconsin voters are reporting receiving robocalls that claim voters who signed recall petitions or voted to recall Governor Scott Walker are not required to vote again, that they have already done their part!!

Anyways win without cheating you say, I say You Guys can't win at all, this is shaping up to be another 2010 all over again, same voter makeup. Nope. You work, your spouse works or you are retired or are the spouse of a retired worker you get to vote twice. If you are on ANY type of public assistance you get to vote once. You see when we have more people in this country not paying taxes than are then we are doomed to fail. If you cannot see that then you are too dumb to be allowed to vote.
