I got one of those e-mails too.

"I have 30,000 acres of emerald mines worth billions," he said. He said the mines are located in Zambia.

It means that in 24 hours, the District Government can/will come and remove his items from the crub/tree box to avoid it becoming a hazard or trash. I am not sure will it will be moved to but it will be moved. The neighbors will start complaining and the block will be a eye sore.

Nice editing...

"Bank records show Aina and his associates in October were served with a 30-day notice to quit and vacate because another owner had purchase the home in a foreclosure sale." (missing a "d" on purchased)

'Aina has 24 hours to move his positions" ("possessions" not positions).

This is some top-notch reporting.

If the guy has billions in emerald mines, why is he being evicted? Sounds like nothing more than a snake oil salesman that tries to stay one step ahead of the repo man.

I had to evict a tenant last month and she cried the blues. I don't feel sorry for people that don't pay their bills. The marshals don't just show up without notice. I wonder if this guy is behind some of those faxes and emails "pardon me, I hope I am not bothering you, but I have a dead relative worth millions" Scam artist--- he should have his visa revoked if he has one.

Some CEO he is! LOL. I am sure next he will pull the "race" card. He's being treated like any other person would be. He's out buying all the copiers etc but yet he can't pay the bills. Looks like he bit off more than he could chew. I show nor feel no any sympathy for him.

Goes to show you don't mess with America!

I think the way evictions work is after a time period (24 hours) your stuff is free game to anyone who wants it if it is left on the yard or the street.

Hey Jesse
Loads of good HAS come out of Nigeria. A few greedy people do give us a bad rap but the Americans who've gotten scammed are just as culpable.

Hey good things come out of Nigeria. Oil comes from Nigeria. Besides, I got a letter in the mail, actually I've gotten several, and my long lost Uncle Jim Rockwell has gone to the great beyond and I am the heir to billions of dollars. I merely have to reply to Barrister Momuto Rockwell and get the details. I am taking a flight to Nigeria and perhaps I will build a resort in Cuba or somewhere after Fidel goes to the great reward and meets Uncle Jim. Tooledo!

That was tooo funny, it's good to see some still have a sense of humor, instead of the sly racial digs :-)

I feel badly for anyone who loses their home because it could be any of us, especially with todays' economy. But this whole story sounds more than a little bit strange, if for no other reason that this man is saying he has properties and businesses worth "billions" and he can't make the payments on one house? Hmmmm...

Aquarius

You should be feeling six foot tall and bullet proof today. Many Aquarians will finally free themselves from an oppressive financial partnership or joint ownership. Isn't it amazing how a whirlwind of romance and sensuality can free up the best in you? Embracing a new relationship could give you the heightened vision to see an old friendship or partnership for what it really is. Study and travel is also favored at this time.
