Obama-McChrystal Gap Widens

Full story: www.humanevents.com

President Obama's announced decision this week to remain undecided on new troops in Afghanistan for weeks, or even months, rejects his top commander's determination that without urgent reinforcements the war may be lost.

So now Obama is a smarter military leader than the pentagon and all the generals?
Did he win that award from those crazy Norwegians too?

There's a reason why HE's called COMMANDER IN CHIEF. HE was ELECTED president and has Constitutional powers.

There's a reason people are calling him an idiot. He doesn't know what he's doing.

He's indecisive, lives are being lost and he's not running the show. It's Rahm. Obama does publicity runs and places whackos and blacks in power positions.

Out in 2012.

Driving in to work this morning, I got behind a car with a bumper sticker quoting the Quran, with an Obama sticker next to it. Coincidence? You decide.

We really have a fine commander in chimp in Obama.

The man is hopelessly over matched.
Broad, impersonal decisions are easy to make, but when lives are DIRECTLY involved, he's spineless. He worries more about his image than our troops.

Instead of listening to his military commanders who have the tactical, technical and strategic experiance, or at the very least the civilian head of the DoD; he listen's to a bunch of inner circle neophytes who have mostly been opposed to the military for decades.

Sure he was elected and yup, he has constitutional powers. He needs to listen to his commanders. He hand picked McCrystal, and there is no downside for him to send troops. If the surge succeeds like it did in Iraq, he's a hero. If it fails, he blames and replaces McChrystal.

Afghanistan does not need a stable government, or a government at all for us to send troops in. In fact, troops are going to be needed now that there is going to be a run off election. The Taliban are going to kill a lot of civilians on 07 Nov. Everyone from Gates on down to the newest private understands this.

Let's see now. The last time a general asked for more troops and escalated a war, we all saw the results....Vietnam War:
Shortly after his arrival, Westmoreland was made permanent commander of MACV and given command of all US forces in Vietnam. Commanding 16,000 men in 1964, Westmoreland oversaw the escalation of the conflict and had 535,000 troops under his control when he departed in 1968. You think it was a smart move?
Now McChrystal wants to take a page out of this book? Clusteruckistan is a worse situation than Nam.

Another terrorist arrested in Boston today.

Guess Bush and Cheney's Patriot Act gives up results.

Obama poo-pooze it, but uses it behind the presses back and the press....hell they are so ignorant and on a obamadope high they can't figure out anything.

Thanks Bush and Cheney for protecting Americans during the last 8 years.

Obama is failing to protect americans...vote him OUT! and vote out those frozen faced demoncrats in 2010 and 2012.

Westie joined Goldwater, both of whom expressed their regrets for the beliefs they held, and the violence they advocated (Westie in 'Nam, Goldwater in politix), shortly before they 'set sail' on that final journey...

Multiplying the 'targets' doesn't seem to be a real change... Karzai being given his desk at Chevron, next to the one he shared with Condi Rice, would be a smarter move...

Two words libs hate....Volunteer Army....they cannon believe that young people today are brave enough to do what they were too chickensh't to do....serve and protect. They recall their hippie days of draft card burning and singing protest songs, but now a day does not go by that they are ashamed of their cowardice.
