Fox News is more than a shill for Republicans - it is a refuge for bigoted right wing naysayers. What a cesspool of negativity on the channel. This is a complicated world we live in, and its continual harp on loss of values and loss of freedoms does nothing for ensuring the American people's pursuit of happiness. It is more of a case of political bigotory hiding behind Bible versus.

Fox is the only station that gives the American people ALL of the news without censorship like ALL of the others. Even liberals watch FOX because they can't get the news from the other outlets. If you check the cable news ratings you will see that Fox beats all competitors AND their numbers have STEADILY INCREASED since Obama took office. The American people have caught on to the media bias and have turned to Fox! Check mediabistro.com for cable news ratings

I find it very ironic that this President who claimed to be so open to differing "ideas" is attempting to censor those who disagree. Did the Bush administration have the same stance on the left-wing MSNBC?

It is really dismaying to see the negativitey that the current administration has cast out upon Fox news, a legitimate and VERY popular news organization, is now being perpetuated by others as well. Fox News may have more commentators that are conservative in thought than other organizations; however, several independant studies have shown that Fox News has the least biased (the most balanced) stories than any other mainstream media outlet. Specifically one study showed that their coverage of the 2008 campaign had 40% positive stories about Barack Obama, compared to 40% positive stories about John McCain. This study was done by an independant (I think school based) group, whose name escapes me at the moment. But anyway, the current administration and apparently the other person who is posting comments focus only on the opinion shows and not on the actual news/reporting shows. Beck, Hannity & O'Reilly are all conservatives (not Republicans, CONSERVATIVES, like the majority of the rest of America) and their shows are OPINION shows. And all of them are quite open about that. I suggest that instead of spewing more negativity, Skessler, which you seem to have such a problem with, you try actually watching some of the reporting instead of jumping on the "we hate Fox" bandwagon. You might learn something.

The scary thought to me is: it seems as if we're heading more towards a totalitarian state. The government is ONLY going to allow the media outlets which they either influence or control to report on their activities. That's troubling... very troubling. What's next? Is Obama going to ask Congress to forgo the 2 term limits for presidents (just like Chavez did in Venezuela)? Clinton once said that he felt he was so popular, he could have easily won a 3rd term even though he lied to American people. Not sure what the answer is other than somehow, some way, people need to put the White House on notice that their activities and actions ARE being monitored and repercussions will occur if they are in fact, found out. Repercussions being: no immunity from being prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Barry the big baby won't be happy until he can pull the plug on "antagonistic" web sites and Fox News. Ya gotta give him credit: He's following the Marxist agenda with amazing clarity.

Wrong. You can't go to one channel and sit passively back and get the facts; that is an oversimplification. BBC News will impartially explain both sides of an issue, and do it from a historically accurate perspective to explain WHY the views differ in the first place. Refer to BBC, then do your own fact checking and reference a 'real document' that someone is referring to. It's hard work, but once it's done you'll never think inflexibly again. Whew, thanks Cornell University for showing me this 20 years ago.

Fox is no more that a political arm of the republican fools that have had the power for the past eight years. Now that the voters have dislodged them, all they can come up with are negative, ignorant and incorrect news articles! And, hannity is about the biggest FOOL, next to o'rilley, that I have ever seen! If you don't agree with the Democrats, get out and vote! Then we will see how the MAJORITY of Americans feel!

Fox news is not a news network. It has a group of pundits pretending to be news professionals. At the start of each day they are given talking points, which are provided my the most conservative wing of the Republican party. Part of the reason for their numbers is that they are on the basic package of most cable companies unlike some of their competition. They do represent the 20% of America who consider themselves conservatives quite well. Moderates, independents, and liberals are watching many main stream news shows. Conservative consider all of these the evil 'liberal news media.'

It will save you the trouble of having to remember the story.

You can spin all you want, but in the end the TRUTH and the FACTS always trump bullshit propaganda and rhetoric.

Dems hate fox news because fox has the nerve to play video of people Like Anita Dunn state that Mao is one of her inspirations. how is it that someone like skessler can see all those Obama people on tape praising mao and others and blame the messenger. Is it Foxes fault that van jones is a commie and had to step down after fox played a video of him ? What about Mark lloyd praising communists and praising Chavez for shutting down 34 radio stations for not toeing the commie line. Would abc or cbs play the video of Obama's manufacturing czar quote mao ?
