Anyone know of any GOOD computer repair shop? Our computer got killed by the wind storm and I took it to those new guys uptown, leading edge or something and it was a mess. I don't know much abotu computers but they took my cash and told me how much cheaper they are than anyone else and I found that to be a lie. The thing is a mess and doesn't work still and they just want to argue about it. I don't mind paying extra for good service so this thing about being cheaper just cost me MORE money. This sucks, I have to use my daughters computer now???? Isn't anyone honest?

I take all of my computers to Just Micro over in the shopping center. I used to take them to that place over by Kroger and it was never right. I use Just Micro for my stuff, my parents and for work. Always reasonable and always quick on gettinn it back to me. I've never met a bunch of nicer people and they really do stand behind their work. Been going there for almost 5 years now I think. I don't know much about that new place but I think they all used to work at that place over by Kroger.

No, he's out of business. I've been using Just Micro for over 5 years now. Used to go to Standardbred but that was always a mess. I trust the guys where I go now, they seem to bend over backwards to stay honest with me and they take the time to explain it all.
More please

OK. what exactly does that mean? Was it outside? Was there lightning? If so, were you using a surge suppressor? Was the surge supressor more than 2 years old?(They wear out and wind up as regular plug strips).

Let me tell you something. Ya cant fix a computer if your looking at dirty sites on it. DOnt blame the wind storm. That wasnt it. You should be looking at your kids or spouse. I know enough about computers, THey just dont die because of poweroutage or electric stike.

Yeah but what if the surge knocked out the power supply? Then the computer would have seemed to die.

I also go to Just Micro. Gave up on those "standard" people long ago. And those new guys in town are all rejects from standatd also. Small shop and local folks who seem to know their stuff. I've had them fix a few things that were supposed to unfixable, according to the other guys.

The power supplies in a computer can die with a wind storm or power surge. We just have the power supplies replaced and they usually work fine after that.

Yeah but how long have they been there? Greenfield has had many come and go. My sister was burned by one of them there, bought a new computer and a few weeks later he was gone and she was stuck with no warranty. Of course she found out when the hard drive went south. I'm with some of the others here and I go to that Just Micro. I learned that lesson the hard way long ago. If you find a good mechanic, stick with them! They stand behind it all.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Virgo

Words are flying around in all directions today, and the conversations will be fast and furious. You might face a lot of distractions and interruptions, or you could get caught up in some rather irritable slanging matches with a certain person. The busier you are, the more fraught you'll become and the more likely to go off the deep end.
