true, just wish his term was only 2 years and we could go to the polls again, for the first time in a long time we have alot of things working in our favor thanks to the hard work of the ones that was there the past 3 to 4 years and is still working hard to bring prosperity to morgan co. Don is not going to do anything but ride the storm out and draw a paycheck so sad.

<quoted text> It sounds like your concerned that should Mr Kilby run he would be elected, well on that part of your post i shall agree, however i disagree that we don't need him, Mr kilby served this county for many years, i may be wrong but i believe he is the longest serving county exec in the history of morgan county, and i also believe he guided the county through some very hard financial times, and i have been told that he left the county in strong financial condition.I heard one of the county commissioners say that he left office with a surplus of more then a Mil dollars,Yes he did a great job, maybe he will change his mind but i doubt it.
The difference in kilby and ruppee is that Kilby worked for the entire county. Ruppee only worked for wartburg.

haunt me l have to disagree, tommy started some good projects while county mayor and done a lot of good things for morgan co. l will be the first to say that he could have done more but tommy is a bit on the lazy side and did not have the open door policy that the ruppe adminstration had and know douth ruppe was a ball of fire and energy. tommy was good for morgan co. from mayor to senator. ruppe was good for morgan co likewise and was liked by all her comrades across the state and nashville for certain, she had great communications with all dept. heads there. as for as ruppe working for wartburg only that is no where near the facts, she worked for every community in this county. do not think that anyone can dispute that. she worked long and hard for everyone in every town trying to get everything she could and that list is long of things she was persuing. as far as wartburg getting more well they being the largest city they qualify for more than the other towns so why not always get all you can no matter who it is for, sunbright, oakdale, coalfield, rugby or who ever just get it for morgan co. as a whole that is who you suppose to be working for. she has never slowed down she is working as hard today as she was when she was in office and still making things happen if only Don would work a little and do his job instead of sitting on his can and watching her and taking credit for all she does. all these nay sayers talk about wasting money l would think the biggest waste of tax payer dollars today is the 67 thousand dollars we are paying Don Edwards to do nothing. just to help you with the math that is 268 thousand dollars in his 4 year term for what only to stall morgan co. from progress for 4 years and so far not one campaign promise. Dark days ahead for morgan county from this adminstration unless some of the old can keep it afloat !!!!

I started out a non-supporter of Kilby years ago and became one of his strongest supporters and always supported ruppe; I agree with most of what you said but lazy being a discription of Kilby is not one of them a difference in style may be more accurate with ruppe being more outgoing and kilby was a little more professional may be more accurate but they both accomplished a great deal and would be better than what we now have

Mr Kilby conducted the counties business in a professional manner at all times, and left the county in great financial condition, Both he and Ruppe worked hard for morgan county.

The people who pushed Edwards and Francis did not have the best interest of Morgan County at heart. They were only interested in what they could get for themselves or trying to get even with someone. The Smith family was mad because little Kilby ran against Roy. I guess the Crouch's are mad at everyone, mostly because they are married to each other.

I am sure Morgan Co. would elect him or anyone but who we now have the voters will not be fooled again and make the same mistake they made when they elected edward

I wish someone or a group of folks could sit Don down and get him to understand that he is doing nothing and appears to never be a productive leader, if he thinks any different then he is only a legend in his own mind. Please Don for the sake of Morgan Co and its tax payers go home and take the strangle hold you somewhat have on Morgan Co. you are not a bad person just not a leader. think about it what have you done in your first 16 months..........Nothing !! that job is a tall drink of water and you are not the one for it. Is what you are doing the right thing just cruising around collecting a paycheck. you tried to be a chair and then quit so you could try another angle which is all a personal agenda on your part. you are to work for the people and not what just you think. that is called dictatorship and well that is not going to happen and the other thing you cannot rub shoulders with 25 or 30 people that has their own ideal as to how morgan co needs to operate and and change it over night. Morgan Co. is suffering under your leadership wake up do the right thing and Please go home.

Samson, you are so right, Sometimes a good person can be a terrible leader. Also Don has hooked himself up with angry people who are only there to stir up trouble. in the end they will bring him down so low that the good people of morgan county want have anything to do with him.

The angry people you refer to are Smith's Beeler Woman, Crazy Crouch's, and Bald Guy. He has been listing to some Crazy People also (Francis) This would really be funny if it wasn't costing the people of Morgan County so dearly, time and money.

It would take a small fraction on an effort just about as much as it takes you to make up lies on several topics to get your information corrected. I believe you choose to stay ill informed because your motivation is to be deceptive.
