Its a situation where two people who should have never met or even thought about having a child. Yet they did and a very precious little boy paid the price. Very sad.

Was this his son too or did he kill the woman's child? I have heard that the son was his and then someone said it was her's. It makes no difference the child is innocent in everything and didn't deserve to die for anything. I was just wondering which was the right story.

This was his child, the mom has another child from a previous relationship that is about 8 or 10 years old. Yes it is Tammy's brother. The funeral for the baby is set to be on Tuesday this week. You are right the baby deserved none of this.

I am his cousin and do not plan on attending his funeral. Anyone who can do that to child should go to hell.

I knew all three of them and Mike had many, many problems but the baby did not have to pay for his mistakes. The girlfriend had several chances to get away and she chose to stay in an abusive relationship...shame on them both!!!!!!

Very true, I too knew all of them, the baby had to endure many fights and arguments between them.

I did not know these people but can't even imagine what could have lead up to this. If there was known abuse was it not her family and friends and anyone who knew 's responsability to keep this girl and her child safe? If any man hit or abused me ever not even god himself could stop all four foot of my mother's wrath! Could no one get through to this girl? Did no one love her? Should be a wake up for people. Look out for your loved ones! Get involved. So sad I hope that little one has wings!

YES people did love this mother and for you to ask this is crazy. this baby was my pride and joy, it was a horrible thing to do. the mother could not help this situation.

Actually the mother might have prevented this had she gotten out of this explosive situation although my heart goes out to Shannon.

...the mother could not help this situation...bull crap!!!! ANYONE that is able to breathe and have walking around sense can help a child. She probably thought she still loved the man. I guess the baby paid the price for that. I am sick and tired of hearing about innocent children having to pay for the stupidity of the fucking drug induced, alcoholic low lifes. Any women knows to get a child out of an abusive home. If it was bad, then where was social services? They should take her other child and prosecute her for the failure to protect a minor, she willingly knew the baby was in danger. It makes me mad to think of all the people that would love to have a child,but yet we're disposing of them like they're nothing. I think its time we get back to older traditions and start taking our children back!!! I am a young mother with a three year old and it gets stressful,but God help, somebody shoot me in the fucking head if I ever dream of taking the life from him...God help me!! I laid in agony for him,doesn't that mean anything to this woman? Maybe we have made it too easy for children to be brought into this world, easy come easy go? Besides government "rewards" these "people". The more they have the more they pay. I feel for the family on both losses,but this didn't have to happen. God bless them and may they rest in peace. I KNOW the baby is with JESUS now and don't have to hear the fighting no more. but what could have been? What did we lose? Everyone is born with a purpose...what was his?? So short of a life, yet innocent,pure and true....GODS LOVE SHONE THROUGH!!!! REST IN PEACE...GOD BLESS THE FAMILY!!!

The mother had left the situation previously and I believe she was in the process of looking for an apartment to leave &#8206;again. The mother was not on drugs, alcohol nor was she receiving any kind of “government rewards”. The man had &#8206;never hurt the baby before. She had no idea that when she ran to get help for herself that he would hurt the baby. &#8206;As for her older child he lives with his father and that child nor that father need to be brought into this. That child has &#8206;enough going on without people like you running your mouth about a situation that you know NOTHING about. You &#8206;are right, it didn’t have to happen but it did and blaming the mother for it will not bring either of them back. She was &#8206;doing what she thought was best.
