From a recent story in the Holden Image it now appears that the criticism of a knee jerk reaction on the part of our state Rep. is correct. The developer is now saying that the idea of a sex offender complex was some sort of joke.
Not funny.
I do think it will result in the issue of zoning being on the November ballot.

Housing for sex offenders meets strong opposition
Residents against the idea of housing 200 to 400 sex offenders in their county east of Kansas City will have to wait to hear more about the proposed facility that has quickly gained opposition.
