I bought two used tires from Wholesale tire down on E. Market st. for $20 each, I later found out they had obtained these tires from a customer who paid them $5 each to "destroy" them. As I unravelled the mystery it appears that when you buy new tires from them they charge a $5 fee to get rid of your old tires but actually sell them to others as good used tires. Since they make money on the new tires should'nt they destroy your old tires for free? What's worse is how can they double dip like that? Is there an honest merchant anywhere?

out of 20 cars there are only 2 or 3 tires that can be saved and sold to help the people that cant afford new tires, and the money pay's for cabs to pick up tires from other stores and to pay for the crews lunch some times so get off you high horse and buy new tires

What a dumb idiot. You are almost as dumb as Jason Head. The guy who ran the stop sign on 108 and killed a man with a family about 6 years ago.

Well I know where not to go for tires. Bryan, I am with you on the "disposal" fee. It has to be one way or the other, they either should take the tires from you for free if they plan on reselling them, or charge you the $5 if they actually plan on disposing them.
As far as Whiny Union Scum, you are the idiot, you cant even spell, but you have the nerve to put down someone you dont know.

Bryan,
Contact your credit card company, and they provide you with a solution. They may put a hold on payment to him, and insist that he produce certain documentation to support your case.
Good Luck.

Unfortunately what you guys say about Wholesale tire in Warren is true. Jim Handel the owner who lives in Canfield has been robbing the citizens of Warren for many years. Lately he has gotten a bit more desperate because other shops have spring up who are fair and have a better relationship with it's customers. Slowly consumers are learning through bad experiences not to shop there. It's just one of those places where you can count on getting ripped off, pass the word and maybe they will leave town. These are tough times, we can't afford thieving tire salesmen who might be selling unsafe merchandise.

Unfortunately Warren Ohio is the worst place to buy tires from. My father bought $3,800 dollars worth of tires from this place called Rpm Used (owner Anthony Lipinski) tires located in Warren Ohio and little did we know he would rip us off. We have been calling him on a daily basis and has yet to return our call.. I highly suggest anyone who is buying tires from him to think twice about it. He is a big scam.. From our experience I highly suggest all those looking to buy tires to stay away from that so called business!!!!

Bryan if you are that worried about how they charge for used tires and disposal etc. don't pay the five bucks and take them with you, try to get rid of four old crappy tires legally for less. These guys have never been anything but straight shooters with me. I've bought utility trailer tires ther and 2 brand new sets of tires for different vehicles, I'll be buying a new set very soon for my SUV. When I asked them for help with getting a set of used tires to put on a wheelchair lift van for a friend whose child is in a wheelchair, they took great care of me and my friend by installing them for free, they could have said tough luck, but the salesman took me to the warehouse and searched through a bunch of tires to find a fairly good set of used tires. The free installation was money out of their pocket. I used to always price tires elsewhere, but they have never been beaten on the "out-the-door" price. Good people, good prices, good luck if you think you'll be treated better somewhere else!!!

I agree with waren take the tires and try to dispose of them legally, you will learn that is better to pay the $5 dlls instead of taking them, do you know how much will they fine them if they dont dispose correctly of the tires? or if you dont do it and get caugth? other shops that you might think dont charge you are either including it on the price or hidding it elsewhere. Dont you feel better knowing that paying $5 dlls would help portect the environment? Believe me its really hard and expensive to get rid of old tires, I know it because I own a tire shop, and selling the old tires taken from a customer that got news, happens 1 out of 20, and that its the only way you will get used tires, how do you think you are able to get used tires, they have to come from other vehicle, how owners are cheap and are able to spend some more money on their securiy and their family.
