Council Woman Rusie seems to vote against motions quite often because she disagrees with one little item. What is she going to do in Lansing if she gets elected when most of the Bills that come up have a lot more detail than a city ordinance as well as things not even related to the Bill tacked on? I guess she will be voting NO a lot, if not on everything if she makes it to Lansing.

I will vote for her just to get rid of her. The the state officials can deal with her Big EGO.

She crosses too many T(s) and dots too many I(s) to the point she convinces herself to not vote for something. Last night she should have done the opposite and voted in favor and said she disagrees with the one portion of the ordinance. At least she has Joe on her side now. He gave her a thumbs up on her NO vote. She just gave her competition something to put in campaign flyers to use against her in the election.

Thank God she cares about doing the right thing, instead of doing what looks good on a flyer. I didn't elect her to make decisions based upon what looks good on a flyer for herself.

She also crapped all over the new state law, instead of trying to suck up to the people in Lansing. This was passed by even our own representative. Compare that to Ron sucking up to Ted even as Ted sticks our city with the bill for a bunch of dump houses, vacant lots, and even a gas station! Which one is working for us and which is working more for himself.

How is she going to handle being in Lansing dealing with voting on much more complicated and larger items?

She voted against the hockey gym because of the HUD money is to be used only in for public uses. Another example.

Screw the law and let's just let people do they want to do, because it's fun and easier. The law just gets in the way anyhow. Choose a group of voters, give them what they want, all they want, grandstand to the camera, and make sure these voters clap clap clap on cue. Invoke things no real American could ever attack like kids, veterans, pets, parks, kids' sports, seniors, whatever, to justify what you're doing. Don't ask critical or tough questions. Maybe throw out a few leading softballs to get the answers that sound good on TV. Villify anyone who dares ask a real question, ignore their points, and grandstand some more. How dare they waste your time with things you don't understand. Twist their concerns to sound like an attack against the kids, veterans, pets, parks, kids' sports, seniors, whatever. Most importantly just go with whatever City Hall wants - after all, when have they ever led us wrong? Move to freaking approve. Now time for updates about Wally's and a little good-natured ribbing.
