Bradley County deputy in hot water over arrest of Monticello businessman

Tenth Judicial District Prosecutor Thomas Deen has declined to prosecute Monticello businessman Donney R. Jackson for allegations of residential burglary after learning that a Bradley County deputy arrested Jackson based on the uncorroborated word of a convicted felon who has a history of lying. Bradley County deputy Tony Hunt sought and obtained an arrest warrant for Jackson last month after Clinton D. Savage implicated Jackson, his former employer, in a burglary and did not give Jackson an opportunity to make a statement prior to his arrest. Full story here
